At duma-dunk na ulet ngayon. Difference lang 20 pa lang si bagets si Manong Silva 40 na. Sure ball hall of famer naman na. Pangit lang na sa ganun matapos ang career kung sakaling mag-retire na nga.

Weidman dominated Silva in round 1 before he broke his left leg. No question as to who is the better fighter. My hats off to Weidman. This could be the end of Silva's career with that seemingly amputated leg from the looks of it. The phenom might be next in line for Weidman.

I was looking for Weidman to get a dominating "W" just so he can prove that the first one was no fluke but didn't want it to be in a fashion we now know. Silva was already considering retirement when he lost on the first fight stating he is already tired with all the fights to defend the title, more so with this injury at his age and stage of his career. He will recover no doubt but the question is will he want to fight again.

Looking forward to Weidman's next title defense whoever his opponent is.

    Anderson Silva statement

Zuffa, LLC, owner of the Ultimate Fighting Championship®, released the following statement regarding Anderson Silva’s injury.
“Following Saturday evening’s UFC 168 main event, former champion Anderson Silva was taken to a local Las Vegas hospital where he underwent surgery to repair a broken left leg. The successful surgery, performed by Dr. Steven Sanders, the UFC’s Orthopedic Surgeon, inserted an intramedullary rod into Anderson’s left tibia. The broken fibula was stabilized and does not require a separate surgery. Anderson will remain in the hospital for a short while, but no additional surgery is scheduled at this time. Recovery time for such injuries may vary between three and six months.

“Anderson is deeply touched by the outpouring of support from his fans and the entire MMA community. There has been no immediate decision about his future, and he would kindly ask for privacy at this time as he deals with his injury and prepares to return home to recover.”

Randy Coutoure fought well into his mid-40's. Then again, he didn't have to deal with a snapped-off foot. Still can't bring myself to watch the clip, absolutely ball-shrinking.
