In the previous game against FEU, Buenafe had 29 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 turnover. And that's with weight problems slowing down his first step and not giving him any lift at all. In game 2 of the finals against UST last year, not many know that the the guy played with a fever and did not score (he was rushed to the hospital right after the buzzer) but his timely assists finished off the series in game 2. I just hope he stops taking those threes, loses some weight and goes back to doing what he does best, driving in for the shot or a well maneuvered kick-out/assist (he's always had a good basketball IQ).
Congrats to the DLSU guys here. You won round 1 of ADMU vs. DLSU and clearly showed the heart and drive in that game; something lacking in La Salle in the last few years. The DLSU biggies played well and coupled with the foul trouble of Ateneo, and the limited line-up, they saw that advantage and went in for the kill.
I would want to see the Ateneo guards taking the ball in and doing more slashes and kick-outs. I hate seeing them setting up for the post or an outside shot play. The damn plays are soo predictable so once the opponents adjust, hirap na.
0-3 for ADMU, but hell, we continue to support our team. Win or lose. We cheered for the team in the 1990s (the dark ages as they say), we lost to DLSU in 2001, we thought wala na nung 2002 (and saw the drive to steal the championship from DLSU), we've had a heartbreaker against UST in 2006, so I guess we'll get through this.![]()
OBF. This is what sports is about. Winning... and humility and learning in defeat. The team is giving their all, albeit they are coming up short, but its good to see they always put up the fight.
PS. Sa PEX, lumalabas nanaman yung mga ADMU haterzzz na nagtago at nagmukmok for the last 5 years.![]()
