In the previous game against FEU, Buenafe had 29 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 turnover. And that's with weight problems slowing down his first step and not giving him any lift at all. In game 2 of the finals against UST last year, not many know that the the guy played with a fever and did not score (he was rushed to the hospital right after the buzzer) but his timely assists finished off the series in game 2. I just hope he stops taking those threes, loses some weight and goes back to doing what he does best, driving in for the shot or a well maneuvered kick-out/assist (he's always had a good basketball IQ).

Congrats to the DLSU guys here. You won round 1 of ADMU vs. DLSU and clearly showed the heart and drive in that game; something lacking in La Salle in the last few years. The DLSU biggies played well and coupled with the foul trouble of Ateneo, and the limited line-up, they saw that advantage and went in for the kill.

I would want to see the Ateneo guards taking the ball in and doing more slashes and kick-outs. I hate seeing them setting up for the post or an outside shot play. The damn plays are soo predictable so once the opponents adjust, hirap na.

0-3 for ADMU, but hell, we continue to support our team. Win or lose. We cheered for the team in the 1990s (the dark ages as they say), we lost to DLSU in 2001, we thought wala na nung 2002 (and saw the drive to steal the championship from DLSU), we've had a heartbreaker against UST in 2006, so I guess we'll get through this.

OBF. This is what sports is about. Winning... and humility and learning in defeat. The team is giving their all, albeit they are coming up short, but its good to see they always put up the fight.

PS. Sa PEX, lumalabas nanaman yung mga ADMU haterzzz na nagtago at nagmukmok for the last 5 years.

No too shabby for a fat, overweight guy though.

BTW, Chris Newsome (#11) was called for a foul in this sequence. Go figure.

I am Green and would always cheer for DLSU at every opportunity.

But I have a profound deep respect and admiration for my "Other School"- ADMU,- their stand for social responsibility and the men and women from this equally great institution.. (like these 2 good-looking guys who posted before this... )

Hayaan mo na yung mga ADMU haters

Let us focus on our own school and team. We know who we are, what we are and what we are capable of - whether in sports, business, law, public service, etc... (no need to do a who's who. Tama na ang Chief Executive ng Pilipinas)

If they choose to focus on us, baka pent up angst lang yan. Pent up for 5 years, hehehehe

    GO ATENEO!

    OBF!

Wushuuuu... sinabi ko lang sa iyo na maraming chicks sa ADMU...

    J/K.

There's always been respect between the real Ateneans and La Sallians outside of the rivalry. Why do i say real? Would you believe there have been times where people have taken my school ties personally? Strange people indeed.

*111prez, 5 years ba naman naghintay para mag bash. Anyway, that's part of the fun naman talaga.

Ako simula bata palang green-minded na. :bwahaha:

Pero aaminin ko, nagkalat si Jeron. Hahaha. Tapos si Norbert wala nagawa kay Buenafe...

I'll give it to Ateneo though, in the totality of the basketball league, malakas talaga sila.

Ang sakit last sunday watching the game live and losing. Akala ko panalo na kasi lamang nung 1st half then bilog nga ang bola.

'Twas my first time to watch a DLSU-ADMU basketball game last Sunday, and only moved my lazy butt cuz it was free and the seats were rare.

From the start I've never been a UAAP basketball fan and I've always found the ADMU team to be mayabang, so hindi rin ako masyado naaffect ng talo. Kinda interested in a continuous ADMU losing streak para maiba naman.

I was definitely more invested with the UAAP Women's Vball team in their crusade for the championship, and it indeed feels bad to have your team lose when they're up early.

    Wahahaha... kaw pala yung malas.

I know also why Ateneo lost to DLSU: one key player graduated, si Webb (Ateneo's 6th man). :D

and the teng brothers declare war on jeff javillonar of the nu bulldogs after the bulldog executed a "gulang" push on jeric while battling for a rebounding position causing the growling tiger to incur a debilitating shoulder injury in yesterday's head-to-head.

i'd pity the young bulldog if he cross paths w/ the father anytime soon, but more so if the missus chances upon him. iiyak talaga si javellonar sa pagka-dragon nun

btw, this javellonar guy is fast becoming popular w/ the opposing fans of his school. he also bloodied ateneo's elorde w/ a pasimpleng strike to the face thus drawing blood from the blue eagle's nose in their uaap opening game

Mas matakot si Javellonar kay Mrs. Teng.

Simpleng balyahan. As Teng moved to block out any NU player from the outside, here comes Javillonar barreling his way through. No foul called.

The NU-DLSU game this July 28 should be interesting.

    Babawian kaya?
