Caught it on live streaming. Nice fight by Ateneo. Sakit ng talo for Buenafe, he really carried it in this game (and he's still overweight at that). Congrats FEU, let's see what happens next.
sana lang di magbanderang kapos ulit tulad last yearsa dulo nagkalaglagan.
Nice game talaga...hirap din FEU kasi wala na si Ravena ganun pa resulta.
Nice game and kudos to FEU.
Ateneo is struggling but at least, it is still too early in the season.
Sunday is THE GAME

ADMU is lucky that they'll meet a DLSU team not in top form defensively.
today's loss was not too bad a setback as far as i'm concerned. the blue eagles have played the top contenders for the crown (in my mind) and it wasn't a blow-out considering the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the team.
the bad news though is that it's apparent that the injury bug is still very much pestering the loyola heights boys. newsome, babilonia, and erram are definitely still hurting while ravena has yet to reach his level best - health wise. i hope the 3 day rest will be enough time to recuperate from their misery
on to the next challenge!
obf!

Kiefer Ravena out indefinitely for Ateneo

MANILA, Philippines – Five-time defending champions Ateneo Blue Eagles will be playing without star guard Kiefer Ravena for the foreseeable future as the former Rookie of the Year is out indefinitely due to injury.
Ravena did not play in the Blue Eagles’ overtime loss against the Far Eastern University Tamaraws on Wednesday, and was seen on the Ateneo bench with his right foot encased in a walking boot.
It was the first time that Ravena had missed a game in his UAAP career.
Ateneo coach Bo Perasol confirmed that the third-year guard was out indefinitely.
“Gusto niya na naman maglaro, but I don’t know how he can do that. Iika-ika siya (He was hobbling),” Perasol said, adding that Ravena is scheduled to go through an MRI today.
Ravena sprained his right ankle days before the start of the UAAP Season 76 men’s basketball tournament, but still saw action in Ateneo’s first game of the season against National University last June 30, where he played eight ineffective minutes and scored two points.
Perasol acknowledged the possibility that Ravena may be out of action for far longer than the team originally expected.
“I’ve been thinking about that, because I have to think about the worst,” he said. “I’m happy with how we played (against FEU), because we had a chance of winning, but it’s not going to be enough. We need him if we’re going to go up.”

Good news ito sa dlsu for sunday's game

Napagalitan ni coach kaya nagtampo at sumibat?
[quote]MANILA, Philippines — “No one is above the team.”
That was University of the Philippines coach Ricky Dandan’s reminder to his team after point guard Mikee Reyes decided to leave the Fighting Maroons after just one game into the 76th UAAP Season.
“That was Mikee’s decision,” said Dandan. “We accept that and the team is moving on.”
“I did not expect that of course but that’s his decision. I won’t tell him to go back or to change his decision. ‘Yun ang decision niya so we’re all moving on,” Dandan reiterated Wednesday after the Fighting Maroons lost to De La Salle, 84-96.
Dandan, who is in his third year as UP’s head coach, added that “personally” he doesn’t have anything against the fourth-year guard Reyes but “I don’t know about him.”
Reyes hinted about his status with the team on his Twitter account late Tuesday night.
“Well, that was a quick season. If you’re not needed anymore, accept and move on. Goodluck to the UP Fighting Maroons! #UPFight,” said Reyes (*7mikee), who scored four points on one-of-six shooting from the field to go along with two rebounds and six assists in 19 minutes of play in UP’s 67-79 defeat at the hands of Adamson last Sunday.
“He is entitled to his opinion,” said Dandan on Reyes’ tweet.
“I can tell you this, no one is above the team. I have the whole team to think about. Our attitude together is we’re moving on.”
