Ang alam ko yun baka ipasok next year. If not, 2015 pa rin nga.

With Pingoy on board, Ateneo will have a good backcourt.

you add the 3 african mastadons waiting in the wings for ateneo, who knows where luck will bring the blue eagles in the future

two of them are already playing for team glory be while the youngest is attending school in ateneo de pasig (hehe)

of course, we don't know if these "man-sters" will ultimately still be matriculating in ateneo in the foreseeable future. with the luck we had w/ anthony hargrove and charles mammie (who were already sitting behind the ateneo bench 2-3 years ago in team glory be matches), i'm crossing my fingers this bunch of kids have their heads screwed on squarely on their shoulders this time around.

NCAA has become the D-league of collegiate basketball. I believe it's about time they merge them with UAAP para mas maganda at marami ang mga teams and to see who is really the best of them all.

The two big men are still red shirting next year AFAIK (two years residency).

Next year, DLSU still has an intact line-up. For sure, with them being champions now, they will attract the blue chips once more.

Hahaha!

Interesting kung mag-merge ang NCAA sa UAAP. Back to the 70s na basagan ng oto...

Exactly. Makes you wonder what's up. Baka kaya nagtago si Pido after the game. Baka talagang balak niyang pabawiin si Mariano kaso wala talaga.

If Abdul were closer, baka pumasok pa. 2nd OT.

Very interesting piece of history from By the Numbers: Finals Game 3 - UAAP Season 76

    "3

The number of coaches in the Final Four era that led their team to the UAAP title in their first year. La Salle mentor Juno Sauler joined the almost exclusive list, which also includes his UST counterpart Pido Jarencio and former Ateneo de Manila University tactician Joel Banal. The soft-spoken Banal first did it in 2002, snapping the five-peat hopes of archrival La Salle, while Jarencio repeated the feat in 2006 against Ateneo."

Ok sa trend nung 3. Pido won over Ateneo (whose past coach is a champion rookie coach), and Juno won over UST (whose past and current coach, Pido is a champion rookie coach).

Maganda din yung play ni Norman Black nung Game 1 of the 2006 Finals. Less than 1 second left, inbound by Escalona from the top of the key, JC Intal (with the hot hand) decoys up while Doug Kramer sneaks away down below for a quick catch and release. Ateneo wins by 1 (but loses the series in game 3).

Shadow, maglabas ka na ng pera para sa UST. Kunin mo si Spoelstra. :D

So who will be the next rookie coach to take it from DLSU?
