Pacers will definitely deepen their bench if they bring in Stephen Jackson. He can play 2-3 spot and has a good inside-out game. The pacers will surely miss the tenacity of Al Harrington but his persistence to start for the Pacers is annoying Bird and Carlisle. He'll get his wish when he wears the Hawks jersey.Originally posted by ssaloon
Pacers, Hawks near trade deal to swap Jackson for Harrington
if the shaq-heat trade pushes thru.
heat will benefit from this, given shaq will have at least 2 more seasons left in his body.
heat must trade for shooters
as for the lakers
kobe vs odom vs butler
(poor kobe instead na kobe vs aging shaq naging dalawa pa ang kalaban niya, tatlo pala vs payton pa pala)
walang new blood for lakers?
ganda tuloy ng heat, pag si Wade at O'neal nag click...
Bad trade for the Lakers unless they get a star with the future 1st rd pick (for 2006) Basically they'll have 3 small forwards in their lineup (Lamar Odom, Caron Butler, Devean George), Two undersized PFs (Brian Grant and Luke Walton). And they'll have no cap flexibility and they have no guarantee that Kobe will resign after all the love that they showed him.
As for the Heat they better hope that Shaq gets in shape and gets committed in the defensive end or they won't get past the Pistons or Pacers. Many experts have made the Heat the favorites in the East but I'd still go with the champs.
Yup, its a 4 year deal worth $22-24 mil. With Barry backing up either Parker or Manu, the spurs have one of the best guard rotation in the west. Expect to see them in the WCF this comming season.Originally posted by ssaloon
may verbal agreement na ang spurs and barry?
i am so mad right now :swear:
this trade is utter BS. don't get me wrong, i watch the heat at least 10 times a year in person, and i love odom and butler's game, and i really respect grant's work ethic.
BUT TO TRADE SHAQ FOR THEM??! this is one of the worst trades in the history of sports - right there with Babe Ruth to the Red Sox, Barkley to the Suns, and Chamberlain to the Lakers.
hold on while i call Mitch Kupchak and see if he's willing to trade one of his Ferraris for my BMW 3-series...
WORST. GM. EVER.
and he comes right after Jerry West, who imo is the best GM in all of sports.
:swear:
Kerry Kittles to Cleveland for Dajuan Wagner, Erick Williams and Kedrick Brown
What a deal if this pushes through, Kittles suck, I'd take Erick Williams any day straight up. Throw in Kedric... won't make sense for Cleveland.
Shaq to miami heat for brian grant and lamar Odom
This will be a big HUH... hehe sarap talaga pag big names ang nasa free agency at trading block... Riley with Shaq... Eddie Jones back with Shaq...
Exciting![]()
I think they're clearing cap space for Carlos Boozer.
I don't think that the Lakers can get equal value back... Wait till Yao Ming becomes a free agent 2 years from now, Lakers will go after him.
mukhang mag si-sign na siya sa spurs kasi wala na si hedo.
(not that may riff sila huh.)
akala ko naman magkakaroon na ng playing time si darko dahil nawala na si memet okur, kaso eto mukhang mag si-sign si antonio mcdyess
i wish this was the case, but this stupid trade makes even that impossible. grant still has 3 years of big money on his contract, and odom has 5 (80% sure of this)...if we assume kobe signs a max contract for 7 years then we won't have any cap space to sign yao.Originally posted by ILuvDetailing

Yes Manu is staying with San Antonio as well as Bruce Bowen and they are reportedly interested in Karl Malone. The Spurs will be the favorites in the west now that Shaq is in the East Coast.

Report: Kobe wants to play closer to home
The dance between Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Clippers reportedly has escalated to a higher level.
The Los Angeles Times reported in Sunday`s editions that the unrestricted free agent asked the team if it was willing to play 10 or 12 games a year at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, Calif., which is closer to his Newport Beach home than Staples Center. Reportedly, the Clippers are considering the request.
Last week, the Clippers took their shot at trying to land the superstar...
