Even though the Celtics lost the game a while ago it's just one regular season game...they will still play in Boston around Feb. or March...The starting 5 of the Celtics is much better than the Lakers all though their bench needs some help...I still think Boston would win it all come June 2009.

malapit ng all-star break pero natutulog pa rin itong nba thread... paano pa magiging pepetual yan!

guess the hard grind of nba basketball taken its toll... daming star players na may season ending injury. sana si g wallace at bynum makabalik agad after the break.

sayang. . . having won the all-star mvp with shaq, kobe had a good chance of sweeping the 3 mvp awards (all star, regular season, finals) this season if not for lebron's superb performance all season long. . .kobe had his shining moments that deserve mvp recognition but the king deserves the crown for the season. . .

kita na lang sa finals, doon na lang kami babawi

Looks like Boston's hopes for a repeat are shot along with KG's knee injury. I think its the first time Garnett has had to deal with an extensive injury which severely limits his ability to move on the court.

Sayang. Was hoping for Rd. 2 of Celtics vs. Lakers.

Then again, Cavs vs. Lakers ain't so bad....so long as the Lakers win!

Celtics fan here, yes I agree that our "repeat" depends heavily on KG, but come to think of it the bench (supposedly "weak") could spell the difference. I think the Celtics would be fine till the reach the Eastern Conference Final presumably against the Cavs. Powe, Moore, Allen and Marbury should step up their support to the starters composed of Pierce, Ray-Ray, Perkins, Davis and Rondo.

I also remember back in 95 when the Rockets where the defending champs. They were the 6th seed and they swept through the playoffs and eventually beating the very much young and promising Orlando Magic composed of Shaq, Hardaway and Anderson. As coach Rudy said "don't underestimate the heart of a champion", that I think is the Celtics motivation for their drive to banner 18.

yes, i agree. . .they have managed to get the homecourt advantage over the magic without kg, so it's too early to conclude. . .i'm still hoping for our lakers to face the celts in the finals to get back at them for last year's lost. . .
