not to mention the relentless hustle of the euros.

grabe ang hustle play ng italy, sayang naubusan ng gas sa 2nd half.

Melo is anchoring Team USA's defense.

Yan ang grabe ang hustle. Harassing the guards outside of the trey zone, good positioning in the free throw line, etc.

Battier is also an x-factor in wearing down players.

Though Brand's shotblocking presence also helps.

Team USA still relies heavily on individual brilliance than team play. Buti na lang pag off ang iba parating may in the groove. Klaseng si Wade at si Anthony lang most consistent.

amen to that. the first half was awful. kirk hinrich was repeatedly burned by the italian point guard, lebron was out of his game and nobody was rebounding. also they threw hissy fits, forced shots, couldnt make their free throws

dito namin nami-miss si Kobe. stick him on the ball handler and let him disrupt. i've always thought that his perimeter defense would be even more important to the team than his offense - they certainly have enough scorers.

imagine... having these on the floor:

    kobe, wade, james, anthony, amare

    though, james & melo's D are improving.

i agree. kobe's a great defender if he's not wasting too much energy on the offense. this is one of the reasons why i pick him over lebron at this point in time. i still remember how he dogged rip hamilton during their finals meet.

mas ok pa sana if B wallace, shaq, duncan and garnett all wanted to play...

that little italian pg with knee high socks wont be able to put up layups in the lane

well... jan ako nagtataka sa team usa composition... walang TRUE center to anchor their inside defense.

    sayang talaga si Amare.

sayang si Shaq... even a few minutes of banging bodies with those skinny European centers would teach them a thing or two.

hehehe kaya sayang team usa, if only these players actually "wanted" to join

but I guess they have personal reasons that outwiegh service to country why they declined.

if only matrix and amare were 100% healthy too

kung anjan si B wallace, bowen, matrix, amare... big ben will beat em up inside, bowen beat up the guards, matrix defending the wing...
and artest starting a brawl ayos...
