Congrats to the Heat, great game by Shaq, picking up the slack for Wade.

they should have not traded Darko bwahahahahah

Interesting offseason for Detroit, will they sign and trade Big Ben? or risk loosing him without compensation, I'd go with the former. How about Flip Saunders?

the Heat was our last major sports franchise to make a Finals. the Dolphins won in 72 and lost the Super Bowl in 82 and 84 yata. the Marlins won in 97 and 03 (attended the 03 World Series - that was awesome, especially since they beat the sports franchise i hate the most - the Yankees), and the Panthers went to the Stanley Cup finals once but lost also.

    bring it home boyz!!

ist also easy to put the blame on the coach and especially to the pistons (who has a winning formula before they signed flip,

on ben wallace i think his troublesome wrist will be a factor if joe dumars will re-sign him (ayaw yata niyang ayos eh)

but surely you and i agree the piston did not lose this series but the Heat won it!

He-he-he pangit nga shoes ni DWade...pero doesn't matter....they're the new EAST champs.......HEAT all the WAY!!

What did I tell you guys about Shaq turning it on? This idea is starting to gain momentum.....but I won't force you into it if you think he's too old for turning things on....good times all around.

Kimps: Its easier to fire a coach than to trade a player thats the way it goes in the NBA.

The Shaq turning it on issue has been there for years since their championship years in LA, make no mistake he played great against the Pistons, he struggled a bit against the Bulls and Nets. Last year he didn't play at this level, or the year before when he was still with LA.

However... the most dominant player in the playoffs has been Dwayne Wade, driving and dishing virtually at will, Lebron James has been great but Wade has played a notch higher.

The Heat peaked at the right time, and timing is everything in the playoffs.

Mmm...I think to hit the note right, Shaq Diesel turns it on when HE HAS TO.....Wade has flu, Diesel ON....Wade ok, Diesel OFF....game 5 at opponent floor, Diesel OFF, east clincher at home, Diesel ON. I think some would object but t'is just an observation.

Correct observation Eismann, BUT it has more to do with Shaq's health than anything (this "turning it on thing"), 5 years ago Shaq was a nightly 25 and 12 stud (bump that up to around 30-15 in the playoffs), part of it was injuries, a bigger part of it was not keeping his weight down and staying in shape during the offseason. Carrying around 340-360lbs for 100+ games for 5 - 6 years will take its toll on your knees and ankles. Shaqs listed weight is around 330, but I believe its close to 350-360lbs during the start of the year.

it would be interesting to watch the diesel keep up with the jack rabbits from the west.

  16. #5296
Phoenix would give them a fight but they'l be worn out if they make it to the finals after playing all 21 games in 3 rounds, and Raja Bell won't be healthy until summer camp. Dallas would present a better matchup with their long and rangy swingmen, quick guards, and Dirk.
