I think the Lakers are capped out until 2007 when Yao Ming becomes a Free Agent, Kobe Bryant, Brian Grant and Lamar Odom eating almost 3/4s of the Salary Cap. I could be wrong though.

March 31st, 2005 10:59 AM #2482si devean george pa, alam ko medyo malaki din ang suweldo niya.
lakers need a pass first point guard, luke ridnour brevin knight, delonte west, jammer nelson.
they also need a bodybanger with a mid jumper i para mag move si odom sa natural SF position niya.
Pj brown, Kenny Thomas
and lastly imho Kobe needs a new scenery, tignan mo si Vince Carter, a trade pala is all he needs, lakers can bundle brian cook with kobe to open the trade market come july

How can Odom move to the Forward position kung yung kasama niyang center/forward (Mihm)eh lalamya lamya? I don't think Brian Grant will do justice with his fat contract & position playing. Lakers to don't have a defensive stopper. They should have not released Derek Fisher. Fisher is a good defender, passer and can shoot well behind the arc. They don't have good high percentage shooters around the team. I don't think it will open oppurtunities for Kobe & Odom inside the paint. The Lakers are in disarray and they should need a new and firm coach to discipline them. Perhaps coach Thompson or maybe Jack Nickolson

Well they basically didn't want to pay the additional dollars + Tax that Derek Fisher wanted and eventually got from Golden State (lots of "experts" say he's overpaid).

If I were Jerry Buss, I'd trade Kobe for Le Bron James. Maybe he can share the ball and make his team mates look better.

ahhhh.... romance is in the air
First-year Lakers guard Chucky Atkins was asked before Sunday night's game against the Philadelphia 76ers what offseason moves he'd make to improve the team.
"I ain't no GM. Ask Kobe. He's the GM. It's his team," Atkins said.

LBJ for Kobe, no GM would take that deal.... LBJ is a leader and playmaker and under 20yo... LBJ proved himself in his first 2 years that he's capable of leading a team...

Kobe for Dwayne Wade?
Anyone here has an account for espn's insider? Chad Ford has an article there for possible Kobe trade scenarios.
