even if government were to pay for all the medications and tests,
where do we put all them still-warm bodies? sa parking lot?
    heh heh.

clearly, this needs some very serious planning.

Guys tama ba...zero cases in the whole of Africa? There's a red dot on Canary Islands though, according to the Johns Hopkins map.

Assuming that they're testing and not underreporting...diba andaming Chinese sa Africa? Yet zero cases

Besides that...isn't it strange that the infection rate in China is rising too fast, yet outside of China the graph is pretty flat? Maybe there are other factors feeding into the rapid spread...

Cases are now coming from contacts with people other than mainlanders... and never been to China.

Coronavirus: South Korea confirms two new cases, including man who visited Singapore | South China Morning Post

One of the cases was a South Korean man, 38, who recently visited Singapore for a work meeting and came into contact with an infected Malaysian tested positive for the virus, the Korea Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) said.

The infected Malaysian man had travelled to Singapore for a meeting in January with colleagues from China – including one from Wuhan, the epicentre of the epidemic. But he only showed symptoms on January 29, nearly a week after he returned to Malaysia, health authorities said.

South Korea’s 18th case was a 21-year-old daughter of a woman who was diagnosed with the coronavirus two weeks after returning home from a trip to Thailand.

The KCDC said it was tracing the steps of all confirmed cases in South Korea to determine where they had gone and the people they may have met, amid growing concerns over further human transmission, Yonhap reported.

Sa ngayon kasi sa Australia pa pinapadala mga samples. That takes days. Imagine if DOH and this admin gets its **** together. The ball is in their court. Quick diagnosis, konti na lang i-quarantine. Bawas anxiety and worry.

Central and South America do not have a large ethnic Chinese population, unlike the Far East, the US, and, in smaller quantities, Europe.

The more flights and arrivals you get from China, the higher the chances that the virus will get to your country.

    re africa

you need confirmatory test para official na meron n-cov ang country mo

    no confirmatory test, no cases

also a gov't that will report it

baka wala pa confirmed sa buong African continent

and are those 3rd world banana republic governments willing and competent enough to report cases to the WHO?

DOH Press Con- 3rd confrimed NCoV case. 60 year old woman from Wuhan. First test using samples taken from 1/24 sent to Australia and RITM returned negative. A second follow up at RITM using the newer kits was positive using a older sample taken 1/23. Woman was allowed to return home to China before second test result came out....
