Wala naman talaga stats for flu in the first place. I don't understand why some are so irritated sa mga conscious sa covid. Saka those who still choose to wear a mask, alcohol or sanitize, or avoid crowded places, they don't bother others naman.

Sakin it's good info. Nung dumami covid cases in May/June 2023, 111prez was posting the stats but I still did my normal activities. Im thinking if I stayed home during those peak numbers hindi sana ako na covid for the second time.

Siyempre nirereport, pero yung report na fearmongering asan? Yung sensationalized ba? Yun naman yung report na ibig mo sabihin diba, yung klase na nakaka-sway ng public opinion.

i was talking about that so called "research" firm that uses unreliable data to calculate positivity rate which the media uses to create news articles

Again there's a difference between reporting and sensationalizing. Si Octa pwede mo pa sabihin na sensational lalo na sa reco (buti na lang hindi lang sila tao sa mundo diba), but if media reports them as "it is" for "the data that it is'; can't call that fearmongering.

Kung sa headlines yan at maalab na pananalita ginagamit, yan masabi mo pang fearmongering.

Required kasi ng batas yang reporting - thru the Exec dep's - ng DOH. Proc. 922, Sec. 2., in relation to RA 11332, basahin mo, andun kasi yun.

So unless Congress amend or repeal the law or the President declares it to be unimportant, tuloy yang reporting nila.

Better ask one of them then para mawala na yan.

What if mali yung data? Ask any statistician kung tama ba pag acquire ng data ni Octa.
