pinagbawalan ang gain of function research sa loob ng US kaya na-outsource sa ibang bansa pero funded parin by US

so pag na-confirm na ung virus ay galing sa lab research funded by US, sa US parin ultimately ung blame

kahit nasa china ung lab hindi parin kasalanan ng china dahil kung hindi nag pondo ang US, the research wouldn't have taken place, and the pandemic wouldn't have happened in the first place

that is why hindi pinursue ng US ang investigation

The controversy in the context of COVID-19, with regards to where the virus originated—whether it jumped from animals to people or whether it was created in the Wuhan Virology Institute by scientists studying earlier coronaviruses—remain unresolved primarily because of propaganda imho.

One side clearly wants the blame to be diverted elsewhere.

But common sense and logic dictates that you don't want a problem that is uncontrollable, nor too destructive to your own country. You want damage to the enemy way more than damage to one's self. Such reasoning could only lead to two plausible outcome: the seafood market was indeed the origin of the virus (as more widely recognized by scientist) or the nadapa scientist version.

In the first scenario and the more widely recognized origin, no issue. Malas lang talaga na kumalat. Sa second scenario naman, if indeed the virus is US funded, China would have said it already to save face as early as when it started to spread. They could have asked for compensation. Kaso nada. They kept it shut. So kung meron man itinatago sa second scenario, China knows it. Kaso sabi ni China sa Spain nga daw nag-umpisa eh, meron daw virus sa ebak ng Spain. Meron pa research that prove that indeed bats and pangolins are sources.

Two new studies suggest the coronavirus did not originate in China

In trials and evidence, if you raise an issue later instead of during the initial part of the investigation, it's considered of low value or credibility primarily because it seems just an afterthought. Parang grasping at the last straw, making "palusot" na lang instead of saying and arguing based on truth from the very beginning.

Alas the full investigation as to origin was only conducted after more than a year has passed. Vital evidence are more likely lost. But clearly, most scientist say that it is from nature and not man-made. Those who said it's man made have not shown any hard evidence so far.

COVID-19 one-year anniversary: Coronavirus origins remain unknown

Even chinese government rejected the idea that its man-made.

SARS-COV-2 as an artificial creation: scientific arguments and counterarguments - PMC

In conclusion, all these specific features observed in SARS-COV-2 helps scientists to rule out the idea that this pandemic caused by the novel coronavirus is the result of a man-made action that could be either engineered in the laboratory or further created as a bioweapon out of conspiracy. Recent discoveries revealed evidence of the presence of the virus around the world before it emerged in Asia. There is growing evidence of its true origin as a global organism that was waiting for favorable conditions to emerge instead of originating in China. Recent testing of sewage in Barcelona had suggested that the virus may have been present in the Spanish city in March 2019, many months before China identified the pathogen in the city of Wuhan in December 2019. Based on the results available, it is most probably that this is a natural-born virus that emerged from an animal host, most likely a bat, without any direct pieces of evidence about its intermediate host. Nevertheless, researchers are yet to find a definitive answer to which animal serves as an intermediate host for this virus and disease. Besides, questions on the role of SARS-CoV-2 in T cells have been raised, especially with evidence from recent postmortem findings of its preferential impact on CD 4+ and CD 8+ T cells [24–26]. Therefore, further studying of all microorganisms is mandatory in order to understand how they evolve, how they live, and how they transmit, which may be the key solution in hindering the spread of COVID-19.
Napaghahalataan tuloy kung sino propagandist dito eh. Mas magaling pa sa mga talagang scientist na nagresearch at naglaboratory works.

if china says the virus is of natural origin

china also wants Fort Detrick investigated

    what is Fort Detrick?

Fort Detrick (/ˈdiːtrɪk/) is a United States Army Futures Command installation located in Frederick, Maryland. Fort Detrick was the center of the U.S. biological weapons program from 1943 to 1969. Since the discontinuation of that program, it has hosted most elements of the United States biological defense program.[1]
China urges U.S. to invite WHO experts to investigate Fort Detrick lab - Xinhua | English.news.cn

BEIJING, July 26 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson on Monday urged the United States to adopt a transparent and responsible attitude and invite World Health Organization (WHO) experts to investigate Fort Detrick lab for coronavirus origin tracing as soon as possible.

The United States must do so to show the truth to the world, spokesperson Zhao Lijian said.

Zhao made the remarks at a daily press briefing in response to a question on the increasing amount of rational voices from the media and experts of multiple countries, criticizing the U.S. politicizing the issue of virus origin tracing and urging an investigation of the Fort Detrick bio lab.

Some people in the United States are bent on political manipulation under the pretext of virus origin tracing to divert attention and shift blame for a poor performance in their pandemic response, Zhao said. "Their vicious motives have long been laid bare."

there's no incentive for china to push the natural origin story coz they'll get full blame for the pandemic

actually mas may incentive pa for china to encourage investigation into lab leak theory coz if it is proven, sabit ang US diyan for funding the research

kaya hindi nakakapagtaka the US is NOT pushing for investigation into lab leak theory coz alam nila ang magiging resulta

Sino engot nag released? Lab test, experimentation is not the issue. As I've said regular ginagawa naman ganyan. Ang tanong paano nakalabas ng lab? Bano ba security ng Wuhan lab?

    yes bano

it still boils down to who's ultimately responsible

the public won't care about a lab technician who didn't follow protocol

the public will focus on the big picture -- why was the US conducting virus research in China that led to a pandemic

the US doesn't wanna deal with that kaya tahimik lang

Still not man-made naman diba? Majority of scientific community na nagsabi.

So ano rin kung may research nga sa ibang bansa. Ginagawa din naman ng iba?

Hindi pa rin kask tanggapin at kelangan ang propaganda eh US made virus. Baka circus. Tsk tsk

Kahit pa nga funded eh yung lumabas na covid-19 eh hindi naman nga man-made so useless argument mo.

Wala nga mabigat na scientific proof eh. I call that BS.

So they don't break their own laws, Uncle Sam does it in somebody else backyard... Just like Wuhan...

Recently, US State Department Undersecretary Victoria Nuland was forced to admit that the US has been funding over 30 dangerous biolabs in Ukraine, which Kiev and the White House initially denied. But when Russia was about to take over some of the biolabs, Nuland told the congressional inquiry that: “Ukraine has biological research facilities which, in fact, we’re now quite concerned Russian troops, Russian forces may be seeking to gain control of, so we are working with the Ukrainians on how we can prevent any of those research materials from falling into the hands of Russian forces should they approach.”

Nuland’s bizarre confession revealed the same concerns that our lawmakers should be demanding an answer on: why is she so concerned that Russia would seize such a benign “biological research facility”?

“The US asked to explain after the Pentagon admits to operating 46 biolabs in Ukraine after months of denial,” read another June 12 headline by the UK’s Morning Star. Is the US moving its biolabs from Ukraine to Asia? And the Philippines another willing ally at the risk of endangering the lives of our people?
