Going back ethically or morally wrong ba ginagawa ng media / OCTA / Dr Leachon?

People were more alarmed with the original Alpha (Wuhan) than with this Delta or Lambda.

if this was 1918 wala pcr test

the only way they can count number of infected people is those who exhibit symptoms

    no such thing as "asymptomatic"

    it's either you're sick or you're not

they decided the pandemic ended in 1920 coz fewer and fewer people got sick and died

humans in 1920: "mukang tapos na 'to"

now 21st century humans can detect viral rna in the nose of perfectly healthy people and call it a "case"

so as long as there will be people who test positive they won't declare the end

sarscov2 is now endemic it's not going away

if they keep swabbing people they'll always find people with sarscov2 rna

asa pa 2 years lang ito tulad ng spanish flu?

    iba ang basehan ngayon

some experts agree that today's seasonal flu are the descendants of the 1918 spanish flu pandemic.

i just hope that the covid virus evolves into something as "innocuous" as seasonal flu.
    soon.

if they had pcr test in 1918 the pandemic wouldn't have been declared over in 1920

coz they would still be swabbing people and reporting daily new cases for years

    -

it's gonna be 2025 and we'll still be getting reports of new covid cases everyday

    swabbing or not,
    genome typeing or not,
i'd breath a sign of relief,
if the numbers would go down drastically and stay down.

coz in Jan/Feb 2020 people saw videos from china of people collapsing on the street

    everyone thought it's that deadly

then around 2nd half of 2020 people realized it wasn't that bad

    madami pala gumagaling

    kaya lumakas ang loob lumabas

since then mahirap na mag enforce ng tunay na lockdown

nagtago mga tao during mar/apr/may 2020 lockdown not coz the gov't was effective

it was coz people were really afraid

now people are no longer afraid di na maulit ung lockdown tulad last year

btw Alpha variant is not wuhan variant

    alpha = uk variant

wuhan is often referred to as wild type

    Tidbits of news from work:
A van full of passengers passing through a checkpoint in Tanauan was stopped, each passenger was fined P1,500 & made to turn back.

The Mega Vax Center in Nayong Pilipino can handle 150,000/day & anyone from any region can get vaxxed but have to register.

isn't it bawal to have a van full of people?
they should also fine the van operator.

Maluwag outside the NCR & checkpoints are random. Even in my town in Parañaque, parang hindi ECQ. Sarado lang mga malls kaya ECQ

    from what i understand,
the organizers do not care where you come from.
all they care, is that the folks "put in for a schedule", so as to avoid crowding.
as such, i see no reason for spuriousness.

i have not tried, as i already got both shots before.

more sophisticated computer programs do have discriminatory powers, i.e., they know the lay-out of the barangays, and will reject spurious inputs that do not conform to their databank.

This is good but the problem would be the supply of vaccines.
If the country doesn't get a consistent supply of vaccine then this place might pause from time to time.
