Ikaw talaga tidus, pare pareho naman tayong talunan (LAL & BOS) this season hehe. I just wonder what would've happened if Rondo wasn't injured. Maybe they would've made a better series.

I am just trying to be politically correct by saying that one championship and 2 finals appearances cannot be considered even a mini-dynasty. There are only 2 dynasties in the 2000's decade and that is SAS and LAL...
Unfortunately, they can't sign any big-name players next season with the Big 3 still signed up.
The best thing they can go for in the offseason is to:
Get rid of Shaq, BBD, Troy Murphy, Arroyo, Pavlovic and Wafer (that's around 6 players off the roster leaving the Celtics with its core intact).
Re-sign West, Green and Krstic (tradebait)
Get young, athletic (and healthy) wings and bigs from the FA pool (i.e. Shane B. JR Smith, M. Pietrus, J. Crawford, Nene, M. Gasol, Carl Landry, T. Chandler etc.) via FA signing or trade for a non-FA (like Marcus Camby). Or, maybe Boston can catch a bargain from recovering players like Michael Redd, Greg Oden, Caron Butler. Gonna be darn expensive if there's no lockout. Otherwise, players will be scrambling for jobs and contracts.
Get Avery Bradley and Jeff Green some significant PT.
Get Chip Engeland as Rondo's shooting coach. He needs to develop a go-to mid-range shot that's almost automatic. I'm wondering why Rayray can't help Rondo with this one.
Find someone who can fill the void left by Tony Allen as a defensive stopper. Dunno who can do that though. Someone like Barnes? Pietrus? Battier?

Err...hindi po analyst. Nagmi-miron lang.
Seriously, was sad to see Boston go out like that against the Heatles (and I hate it even more when ESPN's bevy on analysts prove themselves right). The ex-ECF Champs had everything going for them to start the season and somehow still came up short.
I wish the Celtics can somehow make a deep playoff run next season before KG, Allen and Pierce call it a career. I believe Boston has one more championship in them rather than San Antonio or the Lakers.
The lakers have a better shot at another title next year even if you keep the core intact IMO because they are younger than the C's. All LAL needs is a more athletic/defensive minded PG. But of course, we'll just have to see it by next year when they make it to the playoffs.

celtics fan here but different. i wish the lakers won against the mavs. so in case the bulls falls to the heat, i want to see if the heat is for real i.e if can they finish off the lakers.:D
Buti nga sa 2d round nalaglag eh, mas magtaka ka kung sa finals pa. I think the lakers ust wasn't able to find the collective drive to excel and compete as what Odo and Phil wanted to say. Only KB was in te zone when needed to, the rest just seem not that hungry for a ring anymore. So they also need a shakedown like Boston if they ever wish to compete with the young guns in the ene-B-ae!![]()

As per an article I read, nawala chemistry ng Lakers at lumaki ulo, tsaka hi mileage na rin talaga lalo na si Kobe. Di na raw masyado nagpa praktis sila Kobe at yung ibang stars to conserve them for the playoffs at the same time may mga nang iindian daw o late sa practice dahil nga star, ayun pag dating sa playoofs lahat healthy nga wala naman sa rhythm. Kumbaga sa makina pag dating ng playoffs maayos nga timing belt mali naman yung bilang ng ipin, ayun nagputukan ang mga balbula at nabingkong ang camshaft....Tirik!! sa gitna ng Edsa
I believe dominated would be more appropriate, the Lakers won a 3 peat at the start of the decade then Detroit dethroned them in 04. San Antonio won titles in 05 and 07, while the Heat got theirs in 06, Boston won in 08 then finally the Lakers got a repeat in 09 to 10 to finish the decade.
If by dynasty would be used the Bulls could qualify since they got 2 three-peats in the 90's, and who knows they could have equaled Boston's 8 peat had Jordan not retired in 94, Houston got a pair of rings with Jordan's departure, and of course the Celtics had their 8 championship run in the late 50's to mid 60's.
Just my humble opinion though.
Many sports analysts believe that the Lakers three peat of the dawn of the millennium was actually considered a dynasty... The back to back to end the decade can be considered a mini-dynasty naman...
But their core is already very old vs LAL... Get rid of Fisher and it would be ok for me. With that talent and Kb being rejuvenated, their next coach won't have a problem getting them in-line. In a series, yeah, I'd still pick LAL of 2012. Too bad we have to wait for next season to know whomever is right in their analysis. ...![]()

Well, the Lakers don't have youth either. 8 of the players on their roster are over 30. The C's aren't going far. They'll be chasing the playoffs as well as the Lakers. It's just that getting another crown will probably be a stretch for both teams next season unless drastic changes are made to their personnel.
Wag na kayo magtalo pareho pareho lang talunan team natin, celtics beaten by a younger and more athletic team, Lakers beaten by themselves, overconfident and not hungry enough.
That's the challenge awaiting GM Danny Ainge. The Celtics faced the same scenario in the mid 80's when the "Original Big 3" were obviously seeing their era coming to an end. They drafted a young promising player in Len Bias '86 ( pick no. 2) but he died of drug overdose and did not play a single game for the Celtics, then they drafted in '87 Northeastern star Reggie Lewis and in '88 University of Santa Barbara star and now assistant LA coach Brian Shaw, but we all know Shaw went to Italy and Lewis died in 93 that hampered the growth of our team.
Shaq is going to retire, the draft should be of help but don't look for an immediate impact player, signing a free agent is the option in the off-season. Let's just see how the chase for these players turn out.
