I am a Laker fan so kita kits na lang sa Finals hahaha, pero syempre samin ang three peat!
idol allen!! healthy = champion!
heat... gagaling pa yan once they get chemistry. ngayon kasi parang all 3 are wanting to be the top dog.
Celtic fan since 1986 when they won their 16th NBA Championship, been with them through thick and thin. When the original Big 3 (Bird, Mchale and Parish) was still the headlines at Beantown till the tumultuous reign of coaches M.L. Carr and Rick Pittino.
Clearly 2008 was a year when the naysayers were put in their rightful places when we beat the purple and gold in 6 convincing games. 2009 we were not healthy plus we clearly don't have the bench support to repeat, but nonetheless we still managed to return to the ECF against the Magic. In 2010 we returned to the finals and again almost beat LA in 7 games.
This year is by far the greatest challenge to the ECF Champs, a newly retooled Heat, plus Orlando and possibly the Hawks are serious challengers to the throne. If the Celtics stay healthy we could return to the Finals, and I would bet LA is waiting for them. In 7 games the Celtics will win "Banner 18."
sorry tidus.. we'll spoil that.. hahaha.. rematch nga ito.. hahaha..

Nice to know I have a fellow Celtic fan here in tsikot, being a fan is being there not only during the good times but also during bad ones. We are still ahead of LA in terms of championship rings, but "iba talaga tong franchise na ito." We are the only team in NBA history to be champs 8 years in a row, not even the LA teams of Wilt, Magic have ever matched that. Even "His Airness" Jordan could only muster a three-peat 2 times.
We need Perk to suit up, plus get Jermain O'Neal back in the rotation, Delonte West is a plus to back up Rajon. Shaq will be okay as a reliever to Perk come playoff time.If we could be healthy enough come April for the playoffs then we could return to the last dance in June.
Doc Rivers and the Celtics spoils George Carl's chance to bag his 1,000th carreer win..
Celtics stretching their winning streak!!
GO CELTICS!! as for now.. GO CLIPPERS naman!! talunin niyo LAKERS!! hahahaha..![]()
Sayang yan ah...iba pa ata yung rookie na namatay dahil sa drugs..magaling din daw sana yun
you mean Len Bias? yeah mas malaki potential nun. ni hindi nakapaglaro. sayang talaga.
Oliver yup, iba pa ito kay Len Bias, # 2 pick back in 86 this is Reggie Lewis # 22 pick back in 87, then in 88 LA Asst. Coach Brian Shaw was our guy. Bias died of drug overdose even before suiting up for the Celtics, Lewis collapsed on a basketball court in the summer of 93 the year Bird retired. Sayang talaga mga talents na ito. As with Shaw he played a year with Boston then in 89 went to Europe for a much higher pay, he eventually returned in 91 as seen in the video with an assist to Lewis. Like what the guy said, this was in 91 the year Jordan and the Bulls won their first of six rings, Jordan never had his shot blocked 4 times in a single game and by the same player, even Laker star James Worthy was all praise for this young Celtic gun.
We really can't say how Len Bias would fare since he had not played in an actual NBA game, but this guy played against the greatest at that time Michael Jordan and based on what he can do on the court, there's a potential for this kid to show some more, it's really a pity he had to go early in his career the same year Net's star Drazen Petrovic died in an auto crash accident.

Red really knows talent when he sees one, getting the late Reggie Lewis with the # 22 pick. Rest in peace guys.

Reggie thanks the Original Big 3 for giving him the "respect" and he's up to the challenge to fill the void that Bird would be leaving behind.
Atlanta's Joe Smith is reportedly on the move, one of his preferred destination is Boston......
Should C's consider Smith? - Boston Celtics Blog - ESPN Boston
Would Atlanta really want aging veterans for Smith?: There comes a time when a clean break is needed -- we might be seeing that in Boston with Glen Davis -- but it would be curious if the Hawks were willing to trade away a young impact player for one-season veteran rentals (and the cap space that followed). Even without Smith's $13.3 million salaryin 2012-13, the Hawks are still on the books for as much as $45.9 million that year and that's with only four contracts. Barring another move to shed a big-money deal, it's not as ifthe Hawks would be immediate players in the Dwight Howard sweepstakes thanks to cap-clogging deals to Joe Johnson, Al Horford, and Marvin Williams (in fact, the loss of Smithwould seem a detriment to any Howard courtship). If Atlanta is eager to move Smith, thereby allowing Horford to move back to power his intriguing aging veterans. forward, it's going to be looking for a center in any deal. Boston doesn't have that unless Sund counts Jermaine O'Neal amonghis intriguing aging veterans.
* Would the Celtics be interested in such deals?: Adding 25-year-old Smith would certainly add youth to an aging Boston roster, but the Celtics' biggest current needs-- center and backup wing -- don't jive with a straight up swap of Smith and Allen. A Garnett swap is intriguing because you get younger at the power forward spot and potentially get a key bench asset in the likes of Hinrich, but the defensive drop-off from Garnett to Smith is pronounced (though it would bewith any player; Smith did rank in the top 10 in defensive rating in 2009-10 and is one of the league's best shot blockers). It would seem far more ideal for Boston to have Garnett around to mentor Smith (who finished second in Defensive Player of the Year voting during that 2009-10 season).
Celtics lead Philly 3-2 winning 101-85 taking charge in the second half.

BOSTON -- Brandon Bass scored 18 of his postseason career-high 27 points in the third quarter on Monday night as the Boston Celtics pulled away from the Philadelphia 76ers to win 101-85 and take a 3-2 lead in their Eastern Conference semifinal series.
Kevin Garnett added 20 points and Rajon Rondo had 13 points and 14 assists for the Celtics, who can advance to the East finals with a victory in Philadelphia in Game 6 on Wednesday. The Sixers would need a win there to force the series back to Boston for a
decisive seventh game Saturday.
Elton Brand scored 19 and Evan Turner had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Philadelphia, which led by six points early in the third quarter before Boston scored 14 of the next 16 points.

What's Kevin Garett's next move......
hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2012/06/03/whats-the-next-move-for-kg/
Kevin Garnett wants to play another year. That’s what some of his teammates believe, and even his ex-teammates. As Kendrick Perkins said recently: “I think he will. It’ll probably depend on the money, and if he can win a championship wherever he goes.”
There are other possible landing places as well. Maybe the Lakers? Garnett has a home in Malibu, and the Lakers have Kobe Bryant. What they don’t have is cap room, but that can be resolved if they agree to a sign and trade for Pau Gasol.
The Lakers desperately want Gasol’s contract (three years, $60 million) off the cap and tried to trade him last summer. The Celtics, with only Pierce and Rondo making decent money, could take Gasol, although that would likely prevent them from
re-signing Brandon Bass.
How about the Mavericks? If they don’t get Deron Williams or Dwight Howard, they could pair Garnett with Dirk Nowitzki, although KG would have to play primarily at center. here’s also Brooklyn, but only if the Nets keep Williams and get Howard and somehow convince KG to take a little less. The Clippers would be in play only if they could get someone to take DeAndre Jordan‘s
remaining $33 million, which seems unlikely.
hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2012/06/30/reports-kg-returning-to-the-celtics/?ls=iref:nbahpt2
The Celtics All-Star is returning to Boston for three years and $34 million. Garnett, 36, spent the first 12 seasons of his career in Minnesota and the last five with the Celtics, where he won a championship in 2008.Garnett turned back the clock in the Celtics’ run to the Eastern Conference finals this season and averaged 19.2 points and 10.3 rebounds during their playoff run.Garnett’s return allows the Celticsto move on to other pressing matters when free agency begins at midnight. Ray Allen is a free agent and is reportedlya target of several teams, including the NBA champion Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns.
Great news re: KG. and, at a reasonable amount.
I also like the way the Celtics drafted ( Jared Sullinger, Fab Melo, Kris Joseph). The C's get young, athletic bigs who can run with Rajon Rondo. I just hope Doc Rivers gives them some PT because they need to develop fast. That guy Sullinger looks like he can contribute right away, barring any back issues.
