Van,
are you selling na or holding pa 'til April? Can we still get eli, layo na tinakbo. Which other stocks are you looking at? what do you think of Bel? made a little profit after holding it for a year kc.

technicals - the analyst looks at the charts of the stock and focuses on the price movement over a period of time.

pareho pala tayo morissey, i use pse.org.ph din and i just hit the refresh button every once in a while :P
pag ticker tape kasi parang atekehin ako sa puso sa bawat galaw ng stock e hehe
besides im more of a medium to long-term holder so i dont really need to look at everything realtime
zero fundamentals ako and a wee sprinkling of technicals. i usually get advice by reading on the boards (like this one) and asking my broker (ok din kasi conservative sya)
i think din aabot ng 2200++ next month (sana sana)
by the way, FPH looks like its testing its resistance.
PLTL- it was a good ride, now i think it will settle somewhere 2.60ish
tama ba newbie analysis ko?

i haven't looked at the PHISIX chart so i can't give any views on where its going.
FPH to me is testing the support at P40 and the resistance at P42, so you are right. in any case its trading this range.
pareho pala tayo sa pltl, made something out of it also hehehe as of now i see a downtrend. i dont know where this will settle yet. my guess is its previous low of around 2.80, after this 2.60 na. kung pwede lang mag short, i would have shorted this na.
btw, if you would like to learn technical analysis, i can recommend a seminar. kahit ala kang alam sa business and finance, madali lang sya intindihin. i swear, i myself took it and its helped me a lot.
thats the good part about this thread. we can exchange views and hopefully, gain something from it.
after all, all the glory should go to the One upstairsso let's continue sharing the blessings.

Sir Morrissey,
Kung nasa pinas ako, I sure would like to attend a seminar- I am very interested in short-term trading.
Thing is though, nasa Korea kasi ako ngayon. I just watch the market, then send an IM to my sister through yahoo, who in turn calls the broker to buy/sell haha labo no? hehe
I might go back for a vacation by june or so, if schedule permits, I will send you a pm if the offer still stands that is.
Kaya I cant be really agressive in trading nor trade short term, kasi minsan nasa meeting sis ko and di ma-dispose/bili agad yng gusto ko-wasted opprotunity na yon. Im also not trading in large enough volumes to justify the cost of making IDD calls to the broker :P
Thats another reason why I appreciate people like you, scalpel, van and everyone esle in this forum sharing your insights, kasi to someone like me, who is more or less isolated from the pulse of the market, your opinions give me a general feel of what is going on. hirap din kasi kung puro lang news yung basehan e.
AMDG nga
regards to all

Chip, you're welcome .
Van and Morrissey, thanks also. Did make some killing these past 2 weeks thanks to you guys.
I use technistock, rcbcsec.com, yehey finance, AND This Forum all at the same time during trading hours... even when seeing patients at the clinic, hehehe... akala ng patient record nya tinitingan ko sa laptop....
I just re-subscribed with trechnistock, it's 700/month..7250/ year. I find this helpful because it's realtime and you can see who's buying what. Whenever i trade, i just text my broker what to buy or sell, and i can see from the ticker if the deal has been done.
I used to trade medium term before... pero nakaka-addict talaga ang realtime. Masakit lang talaga sa dibdib sometimes... pero as the saying goes... no guts , no glory. The higher the risks , the greater the reward...
Good luck guys...

scalpel and chip,
you're very welcome.
sabi nga ng lecturer ko sa technical analysis, there is no glory if we keep the profit to ourselves. aside from that, its also a way to inform the general public of the possible benefits of trading in the stock market. it is risky, but there are ways to minimize your loss, as opposed to the chances of maximizing your gain. sa taiwan nga, yung mga taxi drivers dun are tuned into the stock market through a radio station. sana ganun din dito.
besides, investing in the local market is good for our local industries. in the end, everyone stands to benefit somehow.
for next week, im watching EEI.
good luck to us next week guys!Last edited by morrissey_05; March 24th, 2006 at 03:06 PM.
