In the US, depending on which state you go, they have differing laws regarding permissible tint types and areas of application. California, for instance, outlaws any tint on the windshield.
Other states are either more lenient or more stringent on the visible light transmission - ultra-dark 5% tint, for example, will be okay for some states but illegal for others.

manyak tint 3m bc10 all around, kaso pag gabi super dilim. muntik na akong makabangga ng tumatawid na nakabisikleta dati using my bro's car w/ bc10.
gamit ko ngayon solargard xg5 sides&back tapos solargard hp supreme16 sa front. ok naman yung privacy. around 5k yung cost. you go for xg20 instead of hp supreme sa front.
xg series may pagkasmoke yung black
hp series medyo glossy yung pagkablack

Sporty here!
I have a SILVER corolla lovelife, and m planning to have it tinted. Based on my reserch from testimonials Solar Gard is better than 3M. I would like to ask an advise, will it be ok if I use dark sa sides then medium dark sa front and rear? kita pa ba kami sa loob? how about visibility sa windshield? how about sa sides? need pbang maglagay ng bilog na no Tint?

August 31st, 2010 03:20 PM #699IMHO, for safety reasons (both for you and the drivers around you), your eyesight should dictate the shade of your car's tint.
Better to err on the side of caution.
