Testing the WiFi connection after changing router from old D-Link to Netgear R6250. Almost 4x better than what I used to get with WiFi N.

Mag DNS leak test kayo pag mabagal coz chances are na infiltrate router nyo and sending your http requests sa fake DNS sites to fake but good copy websites

Honestly my there's no way to protect yourselves anymore from Router hijacking these days, better get the Macs for extra protection

    Grabe na ng hacking

Our connection has always been middle of the pack or just slightly below middle of the pack, usually 50 Mbps (6.2 MBps). But, it looks like our ISP has been true to their word about a slight speed boost.

I don't mind the speed boost so long as I'm paying the same price.

I never tried testing our connection at work. But, one of the IT guys said not to bother. The bandwidth testing sites are filtered out by the firewall.

When I visited the PH/LPC in 2013, my brother in law had decent Internet. It was good enough for Skype and to use Steam for games. He and my nephew have gaming PCs with Steam.

The apparent snappiness of surfing was on par with my uncle's ISP in Nevada (DSL). I would guess it's only around 5 Mbps. Not much. But, he (brother in law) seemed to be getting the full 5 Mbps.

I'll give a decade. As someone who seldom visit the PH, I notice changes much more easily. I was pleasantly surprised in 2013 except for the traffic. ;) I think the PH will reach 50 Mbps in ten years. Of course, by that time, gigabit Internet will be more common elsewhere.
