That looks awesome

Just when I thought the STALKER games were becoming too easy, there's STALKER: Anomaly. It looks like a combination of Call of Chernobyl with the Misery Mod and Absolute Nature. Plus, it's on a 64-bit, much less clunky X-Ray engine.
I'm not really fond of the Misery Mods because of the tedious, common tasks. But, when the base games become easy, it's time to ramp up.

I love these long stretches where I only play games from one series. Back in 2012-2014, I played almost nothing except Far Cry 3. Then, from 2014 to 2016, I played Far Cry 4 like 90% of the time.
Now? From 2018 through 2019, all I've been playing are games from the STALKER series. Strange because I used to hate them.![]()
The one thing I cannot do is play the Far Cry games and the STALKER games concurrently. For some reason, when I play the STALKER games, I'm terrible in the Far Cry games and vice versa. Right now, my reflexes are so geared for the STALKER games I don't want to play anything else.
I'll just put this here for anyone who can relate.
Currently stuck on XCOM and XCOM 2. Have not played anything new since.
Lots of CSGO watching but not much playing also. It's entertaining to watch pros play at a level that you can only dream of achieving.
I reinstalled STALKER: Call of Pripyat with the Remake mod. Looked nice. But, the save games seem to have a habit of getting corrupted. So, it was back to STALKER: Call of Pripyat with Absolute nature 4.04.
Remake:

Currently playing Resident Evil 2 remake for PS4 and, as expected, it's awesome!!!

To those who are into retro 2d platformers, ngayon (or tomorrow) rerelease yung last shovel knight na free dlc. One of the best modern platformers imo.

Call of Pripyat with Absolute Nature mod. Yeah, I know. Same STALKER series. But, when there are the three retail games with major differences between them plus a couple of free standalone mods, the series never gets old.

I'm still on the fence about switching to an RTX card. I tried out Quake 2 RTX on my now aging GTX 1060. 26fps at 720x480??? Ha Ha. Yup. I need an RTX card. Playing it now feels like I went back in time (1996) and playing software Quake. Back then, 24fps was considered playable. At 26fps, I have it good.![]()

Testing out my old Phenom II mutt DIY with some golden oldies.
All the games I tested (Baldur's Gate original, Warhead, STALKER: Call of Pripyat, and Fallout New Vegas) ran okay. But, BG is the weirdest because of the low frame rates (28fps). Granted, it has the widescreen/HD mod. Still, it's a 90's game. I have to think it was designed to run at 30fps or less.
I hope I don't have dyslexia because for a few seconds, I was thinking of olden goldies instead of golden oldies.![]()

I haven't played Computer games in years. But I'm awaiting Baldur's Gate 3. Hope it's as good as the first two.
