What is this fort night (?) that kids are addicted on? Can adults play it too?

It is basically todays version of counterstrike back then.

It sounds improbable. But, my character in Far Cry 5 (Hard difficulty) has been dying more than the one in STALKER: Call of Pripyat (Master difficulty) which is why I'm always finding concealment.
I love gazing at the plant life in the game which is why my character always walks even though there are vehicles around.

I'm enjoying this game. But, I'm not fond of cutscenes. Good thing I can skip them, most of them, anyway.

Steam had all of Valve's Half-Life games on sale this week. Introduced my teenage son to the original Half-Life. Mura nang mura sa headcrabsAnd to think na maning-mani sa kanya ang Fallout 4.
We have a second road trip coming up. So, I'm getting in all the Far Cry 5 gaming I can before we leave.
This reminds me of the hiking I did at the Tahoe National Forest when I was younger. Of course, Montana is in the Rocky Mountains region while Tahoe is at the Sierra Nevadas.

I love the aircraft in Far Cry 5. The helicopters seem the most versatile. But, they get shot down rather easily. Got the glass shot away here after passing over a cultist-held settlement.

Just finished salt and sanctuary as a semi thief / swordsman. Now trying it as a mage. Damn, this game hates agility based builds.

Back to playing Mechwarrior Online. Got interested again now that I have better network ping and speed.

Let's see.
- No more towers to climb for free weapons and lifting the map fog of war.
- The Guns for Hire are more developed and with more variety. There are still generic fighters like in Far Cry 4. But, there are also specialists such as dogs, chopper pilot, aircraft pilot, sniper, silent stealth, flamethrower guy, etc.
- There are still Shangri-La type missions. But, with lesser frequency.
- You can now be attacked from the air (both helicopters and aircraft). They're pesky especially early in the game.
- You can also pilot more aircraft. No Buzzer though. I loved the Buzzer in Far Cry 4.
- The bad guys can now use zip lines, grappling hook (I think), and swim too. Those were absent in Far Cry 4. They can also rappel down from helicopters.
- No more making wallets and ammo pouches from animals.
- The game world is divided into three regions. You can start with any region and move among them.
- Showdowns with each region boss are reached by compiling "resistance points" via missions, destroying cultist assets, etc.
That's all I can remember right now. I'll add more if I can remember them.
It took me two weeks to play and finish the SP campaign in Far Cry 4. I think it's about the same for Far Cry 5.

The mortars in Far Cry 5 fire a regular shell instead of the cluster munitions in Far Cry 4. So, it feels like a downgrade. I like the one in Far Cry 4 better.

There are some who say Far Cry 5 is the easiest of the Ubisoft Far Cry games. But, at the hardest setting, my character had died a lot more than in the other Far Cry games.
They're also the same people who keep saying Far Cry 4 is identical to Far Cry 3. But, if you really played Far Cry 4, you know that's not true. There were a bunch of changes in Far Cry 4 that were not in Far Cry 3.
