Let's see.
- No more towers to climb for free weapons and lifting the map fog of war.
- The Guns for Hire are more developed and with more variety. There are still generic fighters like in Far Cry 4. But, there are also specialists such as dogs, chopper pilot, aircraft pilot, sniper, silent stealth, flamethrower guy, etc.
- There are still Shangri-La type missions. But, with lesser frequency.
- You can now be attacked from the air (both helicopters and aircraft). They're pesky especially early in the game.
- You can also pilot more aircraft. No Buzzer though. I loved the Buzzer in Far Cry 4.
- The bad guys can now use zip lines, grappling hook (I think), and swim too. Those were absent in Far Cry 4. They can also rappel down from helicopters.
- No more making wallets and ammo pouches from animals.
- The game world is divided into three regions. You can start with any region and move among them.
- Showdowns with each region boss are reached by compiling "resistance points" via missions, destroying cultist assets, etc.
That's all I can remember right now. I'll add more if I can remember them.
It took me two weeks to play and finish the SP campaign in Far Cry 4. I think it's about the same for Far Cry 5.
