the kodak also is also recording * 640x480 30fps. it's the v550 available in kodak stores. no i havent tried yet on mpeg4 dvd players, I played my kodak directly to a 29" JVC TV. hindi sya pixelated.
it's as big as a cellphone. when we're out, I only bring this cam, a 256MB sd card for pics, 2GB for video, an extra batt for video (got it for less than 1k)
sobrang convenient talaga. best of both worlds pa.
compared to a mini-dv, mas ok pa din quality ng tape. pero if you'll use it for simple spur of the moments video clips sa family/friends mo, sufficient na sya.
ako kasi I use the hard disk of a computer as my storage. for each 1 hour of vid on a 2GB, guess how much video I can store in a 80gb hdd. yun mini-dv, around 12GB per tape. ubos hdd mo. if you transfer and archive to DVD+R media, coversion takes a little less than 10 minutes. pero sa 12GB mini-dv video na nasa hdd, isang oras mahigit ulit aantayin mo para ma-compress sa DVD+R. sobrang waste of time, no wonder nilalangaw na mga mini-dv tapes sa malls, even yun mga sony na may maliit na dvd-r, useless na yun. mas ok pa yun JVC everio with microdrive
in the future daw, yun plasma or lcd tv, mayroon na lang card reader eh hehehe to play movies and video.
the only problem with the Kodak is it uses MPEG4 quicktime codec. if you're a windows media player fanatic, hindi ata ma-view mga videos. sa Mac no problem! Kodak + Mac like sisters![]()
My older Olympus digicam uses Quicktime codecs too. All you have to do is download Quicktime player for windows from www.apple.com. You don't need to buy a MAC.![]()
consider the casio z750 among your choices. it has lots of features, most you'd normally find in the more expensive brands..
also, it can record mpeg4 video as long as your SD card can take it (2 hrs for a 2GB SD at good quality setting - if you set to low quality, around double the length pa)
It's MPEG4 standard, not necessarily quicktime, there are codecs for almost any platform. Even my Palm device can play it.
*Oldblue check out this gunnar thalin's deshaker plugin, it takes out the shakiness in our videos. Compare:
At that price range you already have few choices, but with limited features.
Try to buy the T3 Mag, there's lots of options/reviews you can find in there.
Check also the Pentax WPI, its 5MP and its 3-ft deep water proof for 30 min.
I mean as is na siya, no need to buy underwater case.
sa website ng compex bumaba na ung casio ex-s600 P15900 na lang. Tama ba ito?
Just bought a Sony DSC-W70 for 16K in Quiapo. The newer model W100 costs around 18K. Why Sony? My old digicam is a Sony and I am very satisfied with it.
