In an ideal condition, it should pose no problem theoretically. We all know that foreign materials, no matter how small it is, will accumulate in the drain pipe and thereby clogging it up.
Same thing with the ideal air to fuel ratio, and so we have "excess air", but I digress, and such topic of ICE is way long gone now in my memory.
Going back, economically speaking, or rather in a profitable manner, why should a contractor spend more by installing a larger sized pipe when a small and cheaper one will do for the next five years? If it leaks, then the said contractor is no longer liable as it is beyond the warranty period.

May 21st, 2021 12:35 PM #1414Make sure too that the installer is an accredited one by the AC company and a reliable one so that they’re easy to talk to with regards to warranty claims. May mga lemon units talaga.
Dami ngayon sa FB pages na AC companies with lots of good reviews and cheaper prices din vs the appliance centers

Make sure the outdoor unit is positioned in a well ventilated area ... this is one of the reasons why units used in commercial areas do not last long ...

I currently have a 1.0HP LG HSN09ISS dual-inverter type aircon and a Daikin FTKC35TVM 1.5HP in another room, also inverter type.
So far I much prefer the LG. Cools my room quite fast. Well, given it's in a smaller room, pero mas mabilis ko maramdaman yung pagbuga ng malamig na hangin sa kanya while it takes a while kay Daikin. Probably one of the advantages ng dual-inverter. Additionally, mas maraming available nice features kay LG. You can run it at 100% - 80% - 60% or 40%. Since naka-solar naman ako I run it initially at 100 ~ 80%. Then kapag malamig na talaga pwedeng 60% na lang. Kung gabi na at mainit pa rin, I can run it at 40% only with target temp of 24~25 degrees. Kay Daikin available settings lang ay Econo, Comfort, at Powerful. Econo mode only limits the starting current, Comfort directs the airflow away from the room occupants, and Powerful runs the aircon in Max for 20 minutes. Then it's back to Normal again. So most of the time naka-Normal operation si Daikin.
You can also set the on/off timer of the LG via realtime clock. Kay Daikin steps of 1 hour lang. So pwedeng 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, etc. mo lang siya mase-set unlike kay LG which is in steps of 10 minutes based on realtime clock (like turning off at either 11:30pm or 11:40pm). I think a bit quieter din si LG.
Daikin naman is known more for reliability. I only have both aircon less than 7 months and both have seen much use basically at the onset of this summer. So keeping my fingers crossed na tumagal sila pareho, or provide me with a long worry free service.
saw this old baby Pajero abandoned at the casa ( probably couldn't afford to pay for the services),...
