Yep. Never found 1 good reason to root. I was supposed to try unlocking our Smart-locked Huawei but my son dropped it before I had the chance. It looked like Smart installed a dead-end FW to enforce the lock and it will take a lot of installations to unlock.
iPhone unlock when the contract ends is painless. Tried it for Globe and it was just a matter of requesting for unlock and then waiting for an SMS.

These are indeed the typical reasons to prefer iOS over Android, better integration talaga because you have a closed ecosystem for software, hardware, and auxiliary devices like the Apple Watch and Airpods.
It’s really hard not to be happy with Apple’s ecosystem when you’re deep in it already. [emoji4]

Google decided to remove the capability of apps to toggle off and on of wifi.
I've been using the app Tasker to automate many things on my android. I've been using it for 8 years na. But as the years go by the app loses many of its capability because Google is becoming more strict on what apps can do.
Its good for security, but limits what the app can do. I guess you can't have your pie and eat it too.

casual user of both ios and android so no issue here, i can seamlessly go back and forth on both system because (fortunately) all apps (atleast the ones i'm using) exist on both platform, imho
After 2 weeks with the iPhone, medyo nasanay na rin ako. My biggest pet peeve nalang talaga are the photos - SO DISORGANIZED!!
Does any iPhone user here know how I can move files from my Camera Roll to folders?
If you click “Move to Folder”, it just actually creates a folder but it’s still in the main camera roll.
Folders in Apple’s photo app is more of a tag than an actual different file location.
What I want is my photos to be organized - each trip is in a separate folder. What stays in my camera roll are only photos I haven’t sorted into folders yet.
Can this be done in iOS?

I think sobrang nasanay ka sa "Gallery" ng Samsung
With iOS, may Albums, tapos all photos can be seen sa Library (then you can view by date or all photos)
Ako kasi Google Photos on all devices so again may separate tab for albums and "all photos"
As per my personal observation, most toys work better with iOS. (my drone, cameras, 360 cameras and gimbals) only thing I have that works better on Android -> Fitbit
IMO, this observation is just unfair. Nexus series with "stock Android" is basically Android at its "purest." Bigger manufacturers (like Samsung in the past) modified Android to make it look and feel like iOS.
Although current Samsung phones look more Android than iOS, ang dami pa din bloat (e.g. why do we need a separate "internet" kapag may "Chrome" naman?) Google's Phone and Messages are way better than the Samsung alternatives.
An XR's UI is similar to the iPhone 12 Pro, so nakaka-inis ba na yung "cheap" phone has the same UI as your phone? (or "iPhone pa din yung XR")
Google's Pixel has a feel no longer available to other OEMs, so now we know Google's direction moving forward for Android.
Because Samsung’s Gallery works 100x better than iPhone’s Photos app.
For example, I want to upload a photo of my car here on Tapatalk, which is in my “Cars” folder.
Sa Samsung - when I click the upload button, it shows all my folders so I can click on the Cars folder, and find the car photo there and post it easily.
Sa iPhone - when I click the upload button, it only shows the ENTIRE camera roll, all 7,500 photos of it. So I have to scroll one by one to find the photo I want to post.
Another example - I only want to see photos that I haven’t sorted into folders. There’s no way to do that because both photos that are in folders and those that aren’t are still in the main camera roll. So disorganized.

My gimbal works better on my iPhone than Android because of 1080p60 support on the Mimo app, but other than that same naman. For my camera, exact same functionality of the Canon Camera Connect app on both OSes.
Apple Carplay is far better than Android Auto also. Airpods integration actually halos same lang.
Yes and I like Samsung’s variation of Android in One UI much much more than pure Android which I find un-ergonomic and geeky.
I don’t get the issue with bloatware. I don’t use the apps I don’t like (like Samsung’s default browser) then I use the ones I like (like Samsung’s messaging app). Pag di mo naman ginamit hindi naman babagal or anything yung phone mo especially if you have a flagship Samsung. Storage is also more than enough for my needs even with all the “bloatware” installed.
Yung overlay ng One UI over stock Android is what makes it good. Without it, I think iOS is the better OS but I like One UI so Samsung’s version of Android is superior to iOS in my view.
No issue with XR or SE having same UI as iPhone 12 Pro. Maganda naman kasi yung UI generally. So you have the UI of a 20k phone that feels like a 60k flagship, that’s good value in my books.
Ang panget for me is yung UI ng 50k flagship which feels like it’s a 5k China phone. That’s how all non-Samsung Androids feel to me (Huawei, LG, OnePlus, etc).

My issue with Samsung phones is the keyboard UI which seems to be out of touch (pardon the pun) that I often mispunch when typing. On the other hand, the apple ecosystem is too restrictive so I stick with my 5110. I like the haptic feel of it and I can send secret messages under the table while talking to my date. Lol.

I guess it all boils down to personal taste/preference... Yung Galaxy M basically also uses One UI as the Galaxy S/Note. Does that make the Galaxy M a good value?
I'm not defending the Nexus/Pixel line, I also have a long list of complains against the Pixel 5 which made me go back to the Note (20 Ultra) last year.
Pero big improvement with Android is that OEMs now guarantee 3 updates for their devices (Samsung, OnePlus and Microsoft flagships). So being the guy na nakaka-intindi sa phones, di na ako maiilang ipasa sa relatives yung old Android phone ko.
Google Keyboard
Yes, I also have my credit card details saved on my device. Makes online purchases easier...
Way better than the 5110 that won't even allow me to purchase anything online.
IMO, we buy the most expensive devices we can afford as each and everyone of us will have their personal needs. A phone (for me) is an "extension of one's self."
If a doctor would one day tell you that they need to replace a body part with something artificial, would you want something analogue? or TOTL model they can provide?
Yes relative to the other cheapies in that price range, lamang Samsung because of the UI. My biggest beef with those cheap phones though is their screens have such poor 720p resolutions. Although I think when you get to the 10k price range 1080p na rin.
Another thing with these midrangers is they feel slower than 3 year old flagships. So for me much better to just get a used flagship than a bnew cheap phone.
My S9 I’m selling for 9k still feels faster than any sub-10k phone I’ve tried.
