Wala ba talaga option to automatically record phone calls sa Samsung Galaxy phones? Wala din App Lock?
Akala ko basic na sa Android phones yung auto record ng phone calls at applock.

Na-figure out ko na yung App Lock ni Samsung.. Ang hassle ng steps..

Add app in Secure Folder, then sa Settings, Hide app in home and app screen.
Ang pangit pa kasi obvious na naka-secure meron extra sa icon..

Sana meron na lang din sa Settings na App Lock, may radio button sa installed apps to enable/disable..

Sa loob ng secured folder may play store, click the + button then "download from play store". You can install apps directly sa secured folder kahit hindi naka install sa main profile mo. Then just add shortcut from secured folder to your main profile para diretso na launch.

Yung extra sa icon, tawag dyan "badge". If you are using other launchers like nova launcher you can edit the icon and uncheck the "badge" checkmark. Hindi ko lang alam kung paano sa ibang launcher.

Ang weird nga ng Secured Folder may apps (hindi lahat), installed na sa main pero kailangan ko pa i-reinstall inside Secured Folder..
Sample scenario ng disadvatange: Alam ng unauthorized user yung hide/unhide app sa settings.. Dahil walang security input ang pag-edit sa settings balewala na yung set up ng SF..
Isa pang disadvantage, ma-unlock mo lang yung SF accessible na din lahat ng apps..
Ang hassle i-set up pero parang non-sense.. [emoji28] Ang pangit pa ng itsura nung App icons, pangit din ng UI ng fingerprint prompt for security input (sana katulad lang ng unlock screen)..
Isa pa pala, may application na hindi ko mailagay sa secured folder like Google Play Store, My Files, Google Messages, etc..

Baka may super fan ng Samsung dito.. User feedback lang po na medyo disappointed ako sa OS.. Yung Applock, existing na sa Android 11, simple lang gamitin at kailangan ng security input bago ma-edit sa settings, di na kailangan mag hide/unhide apps..

In my case kasi, parang toothbrush ang mobile phone.... napaka personal. In fact, alangan pa nga ako minsan kalikutin phone ng anak kong minor, kahit na ako talaga admin nun. Kasi I know yung feeling na medyo intrusive and borderline violating kapag ibang tao may hawak. haha

I always have my phone with me, kahit saan ako magpunta. Kahit sa bahay, 99% of the time, nasa arm's length lang sa akin at unless ginagamit ko, naka-lock palagi.

OT and that is why I will never accept the excuse na busy when not replying for hours. People always have their phones beside them. Exception na driving or in a meeting na can't use it.

Looks like another ROM feature not available in our region. Other models have an option to turn off the shutter sound in the camera settings.

but in the early days of digital cameras,
manufacturers intentionally made their cameras shutter-sounding.
there were complaints regarding privacy, kasi. cameras shouldn't be made silent, so that the others may know when someone was taking pictures.
OK lang kung leica rangefinder. ilan lang naman yon, eh.

there were complaints regarding privacy, kasi. cameras shouldn't be made silent, so that the others may know when someone was taking pictures.

I think in the early days, they included the shutter sound simply as feedback since digital cameras didn't actually have a clunky shutter or a film advance motor which normally provides both haptic and audio feedback. It was added to digital cameras as an audio cue so that the user would know that the shutter was triggered successfully. I guess the feature stuck when phones started to inherit digital camera capabilities.

The shutter sound has now evolved to become a regulatory piece to afford a little bit more privacy. Regulatory compliance is regional and the feature to turn off the shutter sound is not specific for the PH. Though, I'll go out on a limb to say that our local laws don't have nor do they care for such policy, AFAIK. But because the variant sold in the PH is the "Global" version, the places this phone is marketed to likely included a country or countries that have "Anti-Secret Pervert" or equivalent privacy laws.

From research, I believe Japan and South Korea have camera shutter sounds enabled by law. The Global version of the S24 presumably included Japan as a target market so that's likely the reason it doesn't have a dedicated toggle switch.

I remember having phones that has settings in camera to turn off shitter sounds, although I forgot what brands they were.

I can also turn off the shutter sound with my s23u by muting system sound. I just used tasker to turn off and back on the system sound on when using camera app.

Although I don't use my phone for upskirt pictures [emoji23]. I usually can't read menu board so I use my phone to zoom and take picture of the menu or sometimes when I don't want to take out my glasses just to read the price when buying utems. Mahirap na maoagkamalan pa ng mga feeling. [emoji23]
