Is the Galaxy A8 still a good buy at Php27k? i know there are cheaper comparables, but i have a paranoia of spyware on Chinese phones.

Nope. Too underpowered for the price. Mas sulit pa Nokia 7 Plus at around 22K with Snapdragon 660. Unless you really like Samsung Experience UI.

It's good as new and you're basically getting a TOTL phone with much more features and much better aesthetics for the price of a midrange Samsung. But yes of course, I understand if you prefer brand new.

Anyone here tried Nanofixit liquid screen protectors, dami nagsasabi na fake daw. Balak ko sana ipa coat buong phone, then ikabit yung curved screen protector then iapply din dun. Pumayag naman yung sales lady. I think it works like glass coating sa cars.

Additional protection lang for 500
Pesos, plus it also comes with insurance pa, so pwede papalitan screen if ever magkaroon ng scratch for a year.

I think they'll replace the glass/screen assembly.. Which is a good deal already if ever totoo nga yung insurance part. I think Nanofixit also has scratch removers din, iinterviewhin ko ulit sila pag magpapalagay na ako.

Ang rude nung moderator ng invisbileshield PH page, tapos di na ako nireplyan. Another option is to get those Hydrogel screen protectors, kaso iba pa din talaga feel ng glass vs. plastic.

Kalokohan lang yang mga patak patak na yan. Just use casing na nakalabas yung rubber sa front para pag nahulog paharap, yun ang tatama

just now nag update na rin S7e ko sa latest Andriod 8.0 Oreo OS. finally, nasubukan ko na bluetooth codec LDAC which matches my wireless headphone. the sound's really good, way better than before in terms of imaging and soundstage. wireless technology really improved a lot nowadays that its hard to differentiate sound from wired or wireless connection. no doubt some phone manufactures are abandoning the audio jack. i think i will enjoy more listening to music in my trip back home tomorrow.
