Is the thickness true? It's thicker than s6? Isn't the reason they removed headphone jack is to make it thinner?

If you want extensive adjustments and options sa video recorder, get a flagship LG phone.

Kung mahilig ka lang mag video without too much tinkering, get an Xperia. Unmatched yung SteadyShot in terms of smoothness and consistency, walang jelly effect.

Pwede din siguro Oppo or Vivo since they basically mimic iOS' UI.

Sa major brands Xperias have the less-customized UI na close to stock Android na, if you want a simple, clutter-free UI without too many options.

    I just bought a DEX station for my Note8/ wife's S8+.

So far so good it's like having a Chromebook and phone in one.

No lag kahit multitask HD movies kaya pa din streaming/KODI. Works like a charm.

Wireless charging with DEX, right? Does the phone heat up too much?

Also, how useful is the desktop UI for business productivity apps like Office 365, etc.?

USB-C dock siya not wireless charger. No overheating issue so far for both phone.

Desktop UI works like a charm. Microsoft 365 supported by samsung DEX for full screen. If you have a portable KB touchpad then you have a fully working chromebook.

Dex station may dalawang USB 2.0 ports take note of LAN Port and HDMI port. It is powered via USB C.

Diko pa natry iconnect sa TV yung DEX. Current setup ko is Monitor/Bluetooth Mouse/Bluetooth Speakers then nakaplug yung USB-C for power. Iwas lag sa streaming dahil sa LAN port!

For those who prefer compact phones (less than 5 inches) with flagship interals, here's GSMArena's review of the XZ1 compact.

Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact review: Performance

Overall performance seems to be better than most flagships, even if it's running on an early version of Oreo.

A few pages back, I was looking for a new phone for my kid and these were my options:

    Moto Z Play
The Moto Z Play offers the best performance of the three... SG625 CPU, sAMOLED display, best-in-class battery life, and Moto Mods! The downside is, it's the biggest phone of the three, even without the Mods. Also, having been released in 2016, it's been a year and it doesn't seem to have a good following.

    LG Q6
The LG Q6 had the weakest specs of the group, but it appears to be the smallest unit of the three, physically, due to it's almost G6-like screen-to-body ratio. The screen is both good and not so good.... Having the highest PPI pixel density but it's just an IPS LCD.

    Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro
The Galaxy J7 Pro stands in the middle of this lineup as far as specs are concerned. What's going for it is the sAMOLED screen with always-on display, good battery life, and it somewhat reeks of the S8/8+ DNA... at least the feel and UI does. The body is mostly metal and overall construction feels flagship-like.

FWIW, my kid chose the Samsung. I think that he wanted, more than anything else, the brand. He's also been salivating over my S8+ with the AOD, so I think that this is probably his way of owning some of the bits and pieces of a Samsung flagship smartphone.
