You can always check the IMEI sa website ng Apple for activation and warranty status. Laki din natipid namin dun vs local sellers [emoji4]

So pag dinala ko sa Powermac yung iPhone na binili ko kay Aling Neneng's gadget store, will they honor it if for example it needs a motherboard replacement?

Baka naman may warranty pero dadalhin mo pa sa SG or wherever the online seller got his grey market units.

Sa Samsung kasi only phones sold through authorized resellers and Smart/Globe have local warranties. I don't know the case for Apple since my previous iPhones were from Globe so I never had a problem with warranty.

Parang nalugi ka 10k dun ah, kasi the smaller iPhone is cheaper by 5k tapos nagdagdag ka pa 5k. But happy wife is happy life lol.

Lol! Yes, lugi ako bro but that was the quickest way to make the wife happy. And it was used for almost a year so I considered it as depreciation cost. May apple warranty naman when I checked with the store.

Paano yung warranty? Saan mo dadalhin pag nagkasira yung phone?

Okay din if 1 year na nagamit. Good depreciation expense na.

Will worry about it when it happens. Guess will have to find another way to keep her happy. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Feeling ko same sa "warranty" ng Kimstore. Yes may global warranty pero papadala mo pa sa Singapore.

Anyway, that depends on your risk appetite if you think magkakaproblem ka with the phone within 1 year. Minsan worth it din yung savings of going for grey market kung hindi ka naman magkakaissue with the phone. Nagkaproblem lang ako sa iPhone with my iPhone 5 before na kinailangan magpalit motherboard so nasulit ko talaga warranty. With my iPhone 6 never nagkaproblem so di ko rin napakinabangan warranty.

Yup, im counting on apple's quality. Among the 5 Iphones we have owned in the family, ung 6 lang ang nasira ang lcd (flickering) and it happened after the warranty expired so palit na lang for 2K.

Nope, pwede sa local service centers. Nagtanong ako sa Power Mac dati if ever masira yung iPad na binili namin sa Guam. Basta may hardware problem daw pwede, pag software hindi na.

I'd stay away from Samsung's J series. Ang mahal but you're not getting much. May bagong A6 with similar design sa J series then 18:9 display. I'd rather wait for the Global version of Xiaomi mi 6X or mi A2, Snapdragon 660 + flagship grade camera for around 14K lang.

Ewan ko lang hehe, not my cup of tea. Ang gusto ko lang sa Samsung ay yung S and Note series, even the Galaxy A8 is quite underpowered for its price. But I think it would be okay for most users, especially if you like Samsung Experience UI.

Same here. Would never buy a non-S or Note.

But hindi naman lahat may budget for a high-end phone. Most of my ahentes have entry level Samsungs or China phones.

Be aware that a lot of electronic products with international warranty are not honored in the Philippines ... Apple PH used to not honor warranty that were bought outside the country ... not sure how it is now ...

Ewan ko lang, but Toshiba honored my laptop's US warranty a few years back. ASUS advertises their 2 year Global warranty din. The rest I hindi na ako sure, Sony hindi din.

Where can I buy a brand new Note 8 cheapest? Standard ba yung P49,990 price?

I checked it out in one store and they offer 12 mos 0% installment. I usually pay cash for big purchases but the P990 discount is so small and I like that it is no interest. My Mom said i card ko na lang since 0% naman. Naisip ko din malaking points din sa card ang P49,990

BTW, I can't find the post when jut gave the link for smart switch

Standard yan across authorized resellers. You can get it cheaper from grey market sellers but may chance na hindi i-honor ng local Samsung service center yung warranty should anything go wrong.

Just google Smart Switch and download the PC app.
