nga pala, speaking of bill...ung modem i forgot about it!...hay, seems pldt dsl namin magagamit pa for the next months..\

kaya nga me nagpalit, 4000+10%vat=4,400 ung dsl palang, plus pa ung almost 800 na line rental....add pa ung paminsang operator-long distance(walang direct dial phone namin)
kaya ko naconsider ito kasi, 2999(vat inclusive) only,*512kbps also..up to 10 PCs

At the same time pwede nga mag avail ng DSL service even without Bayantel landlines.

Unless you're hosting something over the Internet for a long period of time, a static IP is unnecessary. It just makes your comp more vulnerable to hacking/DDoS attempts.
Anyway, I'm using Globelines Broadband at home. The speed is okay - 45KB/s downloading on BT. It has a really weird quirk though... I upload at 70KB/s (and all BT/Gnutella leechers love me). I've had only two brief disconnections before. However I don't like the suckyass Speedtouch USB modem (which, according to the contract, you can't change). In my dad's office he still needs to go to the Globequest "dashboard" to "activate" Internet acces (which is lame), fortunately I don't need to do this at home.
P997.50/mo unlimited for two years, 384kbps download advertised (48KB/s... so my download speeds are just right).

i am using Small Biz DSL Jr. and hindi naman ako nagkakaproblema sa disconnections. lagi akong nakakakuha ng above 800kbps sa bandwidth test ng pldtplay.com. the public switch is less than 2kms away, btw.

Sabi ng PLDT source natin kagulo daw ng DSL tech people. Daming upgrades ginagawa araw-araw.
and its right above an electric motor....
