PLDT myDSL Subscribers: is your connection OK?

tangna itong PLDT DSL ko, 6 months na paputolputol ang connection ko. naka 5 palit na modems na ako, ni-rewire na yung telephone lines ko sa bahay, nagreformat na ako ng PC ko. every few seconds disconnected ako, matagal na yung 10min na walang disconnection. sobrang burat na burat na ako. ang problema ko, PLDT lang ang may DSL dito sa area ko!

Problem din ng iba naming clients. Napuputol din and kadalasan mabagal. Akala nila configuration namin ng network nila ang may problema.

meron Digitel dito, pero hindi pumasok sa loob ng subdivision namin yung line. hindi ko nga alam kung bakit hindi nagpasok ng linya dito sa amin, e mga 500m lang ang layo ng transmitter tower ng digitel dito. and 128kbps lang yata ang DSL ng Digitel? tapos P1800 per month daw?

1500 / month + vat yung 128 / 64 na plan.

medyo rare yung nawawalan ng connection naman. then simpleng modem reset lang ang katapat minsan.

use to have problem w/ our connection before. kulitin mo ang technician and FORCE/DEMAND them to check the line outside your house(the junction box? in the post).

my pldt DSL has been very problem free..1 tym lang nagkaproblema..been a subscriber for almost a year na. speed is very fast, double bandwidth pa most of the time. even left the PC online 24/7 for almost 2 weeks without disconnection. baka linya nyo lang bossing

ganyan din connection ko dati. 24/7 din ako online. and more than 2 years na akong subscriber!

it's not only me who have this problem. sa tipidpc.com, ang dami din meron disconnection and slow speed problems. pati mga net cafes din, nagaalisan nga daw mga customers dahil palaging disconnected.

digitel dsl more expensive.However there are few disconnections.and restarting the pc and modem solves the problem most of the time.

2 years na dsl namin. every now and then ayaw magconnect (4 lights dapat naka-on sa modem, 3 lang pag wala (DSL light ata))

badtrip nga e..minsan may kailangan i-retrieve sa email, walang connection..pldt mydsl din.

Wala naman akong na-e-encounter na problem with my PLDT MyDSL. Hindi naman siya nadi-disconnect. Minsan bumabagal nga siya, naglalaro between 70 kbps (lowest) to 560 kbps. Pero generally, mabilis siya mga 200 kbps on the average.

Yung mga naka-DSL jan, meron ba kayong sinasalihan na forum for file-sharing? Marami akong Topanga Series hehe.

Ako rin, almost 3 yrs. subscriber na ako, problem free pa rin, baka may problem sa area ninyo Sir Boybi. Sa pagkaalam ko pareho kasi area namin ni BlueBimmer, eh pareho kaming walang problema sa PLDT DSL.

fyi lang, yung plan 3000 sa pldt is at 1mbps na hindi 768.

Napansin ko rin na minsan kapag mabagal ang speed (e.g. 90 kbps), pinapatay ko muna yung modem for a few minutes para lumamig. Tapos on ko na ulit, ayun mabilis na (330 kbps na). Hindi ko lang alam kung yung temperature nung modem eh may kinalaman sa speed nung DSL. Mahiwaga talaga minsan itong DSL.

sometimes the modem overheats and the speed nung dsl drops.

check for line noise, right away when you get dced. demand the pldt technician to have the box thingy sa poste checked. kailangan mung kulitin yung mga taga pldt. used to have disconection problems before which lasted for months also, the problem is usually not within the house. called the technical hotline almost everyday, pumupunta naman ang technician walang magawa, pero na ayos naman after na check yung linya sa labas. ever since then, nawala na yung problema. and also keep the phone line extensions to a minimum as possible. check mo rin your neighbors if they have the same problem.

fyi lang, yung plan 3000 sa pldt is at 1mbps na hindi 768.

Plan 2500 lang ako kaya 768kbps.

ghosthunter, i had already 5 modem changes (nortell, SpeedStream, GTE, another 1 I forgot the brand, and now binalik nila yung unang nakakakabit sa akin na Nortell).

we have PLDT DSL at my home. Initially, the connection would get cut every 5 to 15 minutes. Fortunately I was able to "borrow" a spare modem from my internet shop. That basically cured my disconnect problems.
