And they're still installing vDSL. A day before ako kinabitan ng Fibr last week, dumating yung installer para kabitan ako ng vDSL. I don't know kung mix up lang ng service order pero I refused and they went back the following day to install Fibr. Swerte ko lang siguro na may available port pa sa malapit na nap box.
Style nila yan siguro pag walang fiber pero may copper sa area, i-installan muna nila ng vDSL para locked-in na yung subscriber. Then later na lang nila i-"upgrade for free".
Pano ba malaman kung vdsl or fiber ikabit, nag apply din kasi ako ng fiber
Ask the installer mismo. Sinasabi naman nila. Yun nga lang baka mapa-oo ka dahil sa excitement na makabitan na.
Pwede mo ring malaman by the wires na gagamitin nila - ordinary telephone wires ang gamit ng vDSL. AFAIK, rounded yun compared sa fiber optic na flat. Usually ini-insert nga lang ang fiber optic cable sa silicone seal ng windows.
Vvdsl is normally in condos where the condo assoc did not layout fiber to the units. Iyan no choice talaga. Copper lang available.
Townhouses, older apartment buildings and condos really have it tough. Limited talaga by what the original developers put in place.

Yes it is .... but most likely ubos na ports. Is that the one in Makati near the fire station or the one near Megamall? Those hi density SM developments normally run out fiber ports freaking fast. All the chinese tenants get them.
If its bnew apply na para di maubusan.

Depende siguro kasi sa availability ng ports sa paglilipatan. Also, sigurado maraming nagpapa install during this time because of online classes and WFH.
When I relocated my office, pina relocate ko din mga phones ko. Sakto pag transfer namin to the new office dumating linemen ng PLDT. So less than a week lang from request to installation.

We've moved house several times already and I have never requested transfer of our phone and Internet service. Parating paputol ng luma at apply ng bago.
Tuloy-tuloy kasi ang billing nyan at non-committal ang PLDT pagdating sa timeframe ng transfer. Kung wala rin namang magiging problema sa pagpapa-disconnect at hindi naman importanteng ma-retain ang phone number, ipaputol na lang.
Per my brother, wala namang problema yung ports sir. Ang hindi nya makayanan is hindi transparent si PLDT sa kanya. Pag apply ng relocation, it takes 5 days lang daw. Then nag two weeks na lang wala pa rin. The time, nag pa follow sya sa PLDT Home(dedicated com sa mga relocation, 171 is hindi pwede magamit for relocation daw). Always, sa follow nya " please keep your line open dahil tatawagan daw sya within 6 hours. How many 6 hours follow up na, wala daw tumatawag. Naawa ako sa mga bata.

Pag hindi pa tapos ang 2 years contract you have to pay ata 3 months of your bill. Kaya inapply ng bro is simultaneous, sayang daw ang 3months especially this time. Which is true naman.

Depende na siguro sa area. For a small provincial city like ours, hindi siguro ganun kadami subscribers. Baka mas makaki ratio ng technician vs subscribers compared sa mga larger cities. Kaya mas mabilis service nila dito.

In ALL companies...transfer is given d least priority as there is NO additional revenue with a ton of additional work. And remember everyone (globe, pldt, converge) is focused on so many problems, fixes, quotas etc.
Best to apply for a new line rather than transfer. Thats my tip.
Example
If your capacity is only 100 units but you have 75 units of new installation requests 50 units of repairs and 10 units of transfers...what will you prioritize?
In a perfect world we will have infinite capacity or at least capacity that matches demand...but its not a perfect world. Nor are the companies perfect. Ang daming red tape pa and circumstances beyond their control and revenue vs cost measures they have to balance.
