Yup. And the nice part is that the 5672 supports Merom as well. There is a thread over at www.notebookreview.com about upgrading to Core 2 Duo.

Am actually trying to convince my sis in the US to check the CompUSA stores in California for available stock right now. Plan to get two more.

There was a similar shortage in May. At $1300, the 5672 already represented the best buy for Core Duo models then. I was lucky enough I managed to befriend the store manager at the Pleasanton store and convinced him to contact me once they got new stock.
