Yeah i agree go get a Macbook... Best of both worlds... You can get WinXP or Vista AND Mac OS...

and btw... Asus makes the Macbook Pros... Foxconn makes the Macbook yata... or could be the other way around...

I'd go for Toshiba as my top pick followed by IBM, Dell, and Mac. At the end of the day make sure you get something which hopefully will still be good enough a year or 2 down the line.

Specs I'd get would include the ff.
    1. Intel Core 2 Duo (2 ghz)
    2. Memory at least 1 Gig
    3. Intel chipset 950
    4. 80 gig hard drive with 7200 rpm
    5. Top of the line LCD panel
    6. DVD writer

medyo OT: Protective cover sa the notebook keyboards:

it goes down to how much do you want to spend and what do you use it for (i.e. online, gaming, spreadsheet, video editing, etc.)

also, the notebook technology is fast evolving.. there's always a new model out every 6 months..

the XPS 1210 is out. core 2 duo for under 70k (9000 HKD).

I have Fujitsu notebook issued by the company, since 2001 until now, never had a single problem though.
Yung specs na yan, that's powerful enough and affordable - kumbaga sale na nga yan. Anong series ba?

Fujitsu notebooks are quite good. My daughter uses one (Fujitsu Tablet Lifebook T4020). Matibay. With these specs, at P50k, its a good deal.

    Hi Peeps,

    PBWY!

    Great feedbacks!

How bout HP/Compaq? Anyone who can say this is a good brand also? Because of all notebooks I've checked, it seems that this brand has the greatest deal. Price are reasonable and is quite fully loaded, to name a few, with specs like:

    1. Wifi a/b/g
    2. 6 in 1 Card reader
    3. Bluetooth
    4. Built-in 1.3 Mega pixel camera
    5. Fire wire
    6. 3 USB to 4 USB ports
    7. Scratch proof metallic casing
    8. Widescreen 16:9

At the price of 65,000 to 75,000.

Saw it in the Glorietta Activity Center Exhibit.

What can you say about this?

Althoug the MAC is good. Really best of both worlds and like the clean lined design. But isn't it a bit expensive?

Really looking for a Video card that is NOT shared with the computer's memory.

Had a hard time playing me CIV 4 in desktop considering I already got 700+ DDR2 Memory and a Video Card of 8x AGP with 128 or 256MB. Grrrr. It keeps on hanging and exits back to desktop. An error of Virtual Memry Low comes up.

Hear from you guys. Thank you!

Agree with bat_zignal. What are you going to use it for? I mean regardless of the brand, your spec should fit your needs.

In the end they're all probably outsourced anyway.
