Tried Frigidaire, GE Profile, Whirlpool SidebySides. All NA-made...Reliable as can be, but non-inverters. Recommended my folks an LG inverter SideBySide they're super happy with. The Panasonic they had was a lemon.[emoji17]

From what we've tried? Yes. LG appliances have come a long way. They're fridges are among the top choices in the US now.

Probably time to try LG again, I stayed away from this brand ever since I had a bad experience with their washing machine.

Same here. I had two LG window type acs that conked out way too soon. One of the kolins we have even outlasted the LGs thats why I'm a bit hesitant to try LG again. May they have improved. Panasonic is pricey.

On window A/Cs, Panasonic is among the few reliable local ones. All our windows are Pana.
There's a difference between A/Cs & fridges... Those window ACs you find here aren't the same models sold worldwide while some of the LG fridge models are shared amongst many regions. The level of quality assurance isn't tuned to just our local market.[emoji4]

Our 4-year-old Samsung 2-door 20 cu ft RS554NRUASL is still going strong (knock on wood). I just added a Panther power-on delay extension to protect against fluctuations. It's dual cool and no-frost.

Aesthetics was a major consideration when we decided for the Samsung against equivalents from LG and Panasonic. We liked the recessed handles and the small door for water bottles. Technology-wise I would have opted for the LG linear compressor but looks won over tech this time.

I'm shopping for an inverter ref today. I'm considering Samsung, LG and GE.

    Not considering Panasonic.

^Rust bubbles on the door and magnetic strip gets weak overtime. My GE ref doesn't exhibit such defects.

I already bought an 11 cu.ft. Samsung Inverter Refrigerator today. It's a 2 door ref with a digital inverter compressor with digital display.

One thing I liked about this ref is that the freezer is very spacious. It is located on the bottom part as compared to the conventional ref which is located on the top. I might want to give up my chest freezer if everything fits.

Consumption is about P11.60/day according to the sales rep. It has a 10 year compressor warranty. I also bought an extended warranty for just, I think P3,300. Forgot the exact figure. The warranty is 3 years + 1 year standard, total of 4 years. It covers free parts and labor. Should the ref becomes irreparable, they will either replace it or cash back. Pretty good deal for a peace of mind.

Delivery will be next week. Can't wait.

Grats!!! Hope they don't contract out the servicing. That's why I opted Whirlpool over GE before. I realized (when our Profile was on its last days) that GE's local-to-me authorized service was some backyard shop that had no parts stocked.[emoji31]
    Whirlpool has everything in-house.
