electronics do get fried if there is power or when it is energized.

my friends we sometimes wash motherboards in dishwashers. but we bake it to remove water or moisture beneath ics.

If your house gets inundated, I think the fate of your ref is not going to be your biggest concern.

As with above, electronics are reasonably water proof as long as they're not energized at point of fluid contact. Otherwise, what could kill it is corrosion if it is not cleaned soon enough.

Was in the same situation 3 years ago, looking for the best side by side inverter ref.
Mas marami complaints sa samsung than lg sa consumer reviews so LG kinuha ko. No complaints at all.
Wala pang side by side ang panasonic before but meron na sila ngayon na french door na made in japan.
I suggest you still use a voltage regulator with timer delay to protect your expensive ref.

look for unused old units from stores. Ansons have huge discounts on them via cash payment. We found an LG 2door inverter for cheap.

Maganda nga mag price si Ansons, problem lang is high freight charge negates the savings, when you live in the suburbs, talo sila ng the likes of Abenson dito, who charge minimally for deliveries.

Our 4-year-old Samsung 2-door 20 cu ft RS554NRUASL is still going strong (knock on wood). I just added a Panther power-on delay extension to protect against fluctuations. It's dual cool and no-frost.

Aesthetics was a major consideration when we decided for the Samsung against equivalents from LG and Panasonic. We liked the recessed handles and the small door for water bottles. Technology-wise I would have opted for the LG linear compressor but looks won over tech this time.

I'm shopping for an inverter ref today. I'm considering Samsung, LG and GE.

    Not considering Panasonic.

Tried Frigidaire, GE Profile, Whirlpool SidebySides. All NA-made...Reliable as can be, but non-inverters. Recommended my folks an LG inverter SideBySide they're super happy with. The Panasonic they had was a lemon.[emoji17]

From what we've tried? Yes. LG appliances have come a long way. They're fridges are among the top choices in the US now.

Probably time to try LG again, I stayed away from this brand ever since I had a bad experience with their washing machine.
