have read a point of view of 1 blogger gadget addict. according to him globe has a better reliability. PLDT used to be reliable. I just read it in his comment, not even a post so he isnt paid to promote.

I'll be getting globe that has no lock-in period. And wont cut our PLDT since we still have contract. Maybe I'll be using 1 for download and streaming and the other for everything else. Then when the PLDT contract expires, we'll decide which one has a more reliable connection and a better deal.

Magkaibang contact centers ang 87000 at #87000. Pag umorder ka sa isa then follow up sa kabila, hindi nila alam kung anong order mo.

Good info. Magkaiba pala yon. #87000 does not work on my Globe landline though.

Been using Globe since 2014. When they finally replaced the main box last year two weeks naman akong down. May rebate pero di pa rin acceptable dahil WFH ako most of the time.

After that snafu with the main box no more long down times so far. Namumula lang ang modem every now and then pero it usually fixes itself after a reset. Reliable naman ang speeds and within stated limits.

I am on plan 1599 (10 mbps 500gb cap + 100gb youtube). Been wanting to upgrade pero 15 mbps pa lang ang max ng area namin. Even with two Youtube addicts dito sa bahay never pa naman ako umaabot sa cap. Nililigawan na kami ng Sky and I am seriously considering their plan 2499 data only.

When you said namumula yung modem, nawawala internet pero meron landline?

How often does it happen in a day? Yan kasi problem namin sa PLDT. Sometimes matagal mawala minsan sandali lang happens many times a day, pero lagi naman ok yung landline.

Pag laging napuputol and you need it badly... consider 2 ISPs?

Once every two or three days since na-upgrade ang box.

May enough data naman ako on my phone to tell my boss that I'm currently having technical difficulties

Exposed to the elements dahil bumuka na ang protective casing nila. A few months ago may umakyat para lang ayusin ang wiring and isara uli ang casing. At least may improvement.

At the same time our PLDT tuluyan na nawala internet. Pero may dial tone, good thing may naririnig ako high pitch tone noise sa linya.

I just racked up a lot of extra on my Smart bills, kasi we were excited to test our new smart TV at walang internet PLDT. So I used my smart data. Naubos data ko just halfway through the monthly cycle pa lang sa Netflix at YouTube. Forgot how big pala ng size ng 4k videos from Netflix. This sucks that I'm giving that company more money because of their incompetent repairs.

They have 2 kinds of pans, meron tulad kay JohnM na may cap pero mas mabilis. Although globe told me it's a fiber plan, while PLDT is just DSL.

Yung cctv namin may sariling server ang provider so add mo lang ang mobile using the provided QR and app.

Ano ba ip ng PLDT? Pwede siya eh

Paano malalaman kung static or dynamic kailangan ng IP CCTV?

I'm assuming pwede either static or dynnamic yun mga CCTV ko? Dahil meron siyang settings sa network either manual or auto.

So hinde rin pwede.

Ano naman yun private ang public IP?

Private - di kita sa internet.
    Public - kita sa internet.

Now, pano ka nagkakaintenet kung private ip mo. These ISP are translating your private to public vis-a-vis via NAT.

And? What does it mean? Public IP ang converge and IP CCTV will work?

Yes. Business plan will provide you a public ip address. Resi plans wont.

It just mean that if you have a public ip address, you can set up a server / ip cctv and access it directly over the internet. If you have a private address, you can still access it but it requires more tinkering like port forwarding (if your modem allows it) and luck you dont share the same public ip with someone else.
You are still being seen as a public ip if you check it on whatismyip.com but if you are on a residential plan, it means, you are sharing that public ip with other subscribers.

Kung CGNAT like Converge, private IP ibibigay sayo and di magwowork CCTV viewing via internet. If public DHCP IP address like most residential PLDT and Globe plans, pwede via port forwarding.

Business plans automatic na static public IP ibibigay sayo.
