They care naman siguro. Most people just aren't very security conscious when it comes to the internet unless they are in IT or related fields.

And these are the people who tend to post everything about themselves on FB. In contrast, a lot of people avoid FB on the other side of the globe because of identity theft.

Pag nabiktima saka lang mag re-research about online security.

Our PLDT dsl bundled with landline is giving us 9.08 mbps download speed with 45 ms ping and 15 ms jitter.

Can't complain. I just wish Fibr were available in our area coz there are a lot of users in the house.

The PLDT technician ended up replacing the wires leading up to our house to fix our internet connection. I hope stable na. I just saw yesterday yung line sa labas nakatali sa sanga ng puno. Who ever did that is stupid.

Findings naman sakin dati kaya daw nawalan ako ng internet ay dahil hinugot ng contractor ang cable ko sa box dahil wala na silang mahanap na bakanteng port

Yan din ginawa ko, I had to "convince" the tech to replace the wire from my router to the box outside. And then the wire from the box to the main box. Wala ganon pa din. On hindsight, it was I think really a problem with Globe, upgrading probably, since after 3 months, nawala ang problem

and now, I am getting 5mbps, which is their lowest offering now, despite me maintaining my old 3mbps plan. I never availed of their "free upgrade" or "loyalty offers" because I wanted the flexibility of cutting my line when a new player arrives. Now Royal cable is here, offering better speeds at lower rates, I'll get feedback from neighbors after a year.

Really may ganon? I wonder if I had same problem din dati. Dati pagka report ko sa 171 ng pldt kinabukasan may aayos na technician pero di na nagpupunta sa bahay, dun na lang sa main box sa kanto.

May lock-in period ba free upgrade nila? The broadband plan I acquired had an option of 24 months lock-in or 4.5k payments sa hardwares. I opted for the payment Kasi I want an option to cut pag hindi nila ma fix problem.

Kung walang signal kasi makikita na nila agad by testing the box your line is connected to. They work upstream from there.

Funny, our techs used to say the same thing, nag loose "daw" baka dahil natamaan ng ibang tech na nagkabit sa katabi. Parang palusot na lang ito. Although some techs are quite direct in saying may problema talaga ang network.

Wala "daw". I wonder if it's true, kasi magpapalit sila ng modem at the very least at VDSL na daw kasi.

AFAIK, those midem/router comes free kung matagal ka na customer at dumaan ka na sa lock-in period or nagbayad ka na dati ng modem. Especially kung kailangan talaga palitan. Ganon kasi sa PLDT ko. Modem was replaced by modem router for free kasi sira na. Nung pina-papalitan namin ng di pa sira may bayad daw.

I just realized that the new pldt modem router has no way to configure certain admin things like change DNS. You need pa daw to go to PLDT and sign a waiver para bigay yung aeminpldt password. This sucks.

Try searching online. You might get lucky with the admin password.
