Meron, pero I think Windows XP will only recognize 2GB of RAM. As for choppy videos, ang ASUS eee PC ay adjustable ang processor speed niya called Super Hybrid Engine, I'm sure meron din ang mga Aspire 1, try mo Max Performance Mode pero siyempre at the expense of battery life. Been watching movies/tv series sa HULU.com (full Screen) sa Power Saving Mode eh medyo choppy but if I switch to High and Super Performance mode ay very smooth naman ang playback.
hi there. i have a dell mini 1010 hd. huli na ng malaman ko na magkasama ang processor at memory.is there any other way to add more memory? thanks. i tried windows 7 RC with this netbook, ok naman kaso yung video lang....hindi makapanood ng movies. i revert back to oem which is XP home. my wife does have asus 900. ok ang asus.thanks.
nope... the DELL unit cannot upgrade it's memory beyond the original 1gb.
As for movies, you can try using a different software like Media Player Classic and limiting yourself to movies encoded in DVD quality. Avoid stuff in 720i and 1080i quality because the video chipset will not handle it.

Awesome! Thanks!
Mukhang pumapatak sa 1500 presyo ng 2GB DDR2-SDRAM PC2-6400 (399 MHz) - [DDR2-800]...
Last question, would this void my warranty? I plan to have this done this afternoon, cant stand the slowness anymore..
mine is a Redfox Wizbook 1020i. 10.2 LCD, 80gb hdd, 2gb memory. it's just really good for net surfing and docs. tried playing DOTA on it and it works until a major clash (graphic settings are at minimum) occurs then it restarts. i believe this is coz of the shared memory for the video. anyway, don't buy a netbook if you intend to use it for online gaming haha![]()
AA1 9inchers UMPC AFAIK has 512 built-in and one SODIMM slot capable of 1gig only. My old MSI U100 has 1gig built-in and 1 SODIMM slot capable of 1gig.
Vendor will honor warranty if they will be the who will install it to your UMPC. Some shops do not restore warranty seals after the upgrade - I did HDD upgrade myself from 250 to 500gig and shop told me that there will be no problem with warranty claims as long as there's no physical damage.
see attached with my HDD upgare-i found out that U123H has only one memory slot and no built-in.![]()

Yup, Unfortunately you'll get a hit by a big "loss" in price when you sell it.
Lenovo S10-2 is currently very popular because prices have lowered to 21K and styling is very good for a netbook. It's also available with 6 cell battery which should give it around 5 hours of battery time.
I am using a MSi Wind U100+ ... memory is already 2gb, 250gb HDD with 6 cell battery. I have already upgraded it with a 500gb HDD and 9 cell battery for longer battery time.
just upgraded my RAM.. pwedeng i-DIY. just unscrew the latch at the underside. no warranty stickers blocking my way. and just to be safe, i bought the RAM at an official distri.
Up ko lang, can I increase the amount of allocated video memory on the Acer Aspire One 11.6" unit? It's factory memory is set at 8mb (Intel base graphics card).
