SSD nga muna! I saw the Samsung at Lazada and price is just 1k higher than the 8GB RAM.
To make your life easier, make sure meron kang USB external hard disk enclosure you can use so the cloning can go smoothly. Afterwards, you can use your old hard disk like an external drive.

    This will work

Malaki difference ng IPS and VA panels in terms of color reproduction and viewing angles (less color shift if viewed from an angle). TN panels are normally better for twitch gaming because of slightly less ghosting and faster response times.

If you notice yung mga Apple iphone/ipad screens look 'vibrant' and 'bright' compared to your old 10 year old LCD monitor? Those devices use IPSs while most of the cheap/budget monitors use TN. There are some high end TN panels din which have good color reproduction and less color shift at an angle, pero most are marketed towards gamers for the fast response times.

You can get a Lenovo Ideapad 310/320 for 30k or less, unless habol mo talaga yung OS

11" laptops are good for travel though, but not good for work hehe (which is why I have to lug around a 15.4" one).

    Samsung 850 Evo

    Crucial MX500

All 3 should come with cloning software, so all you need to do is to hook up the SSD to a USB to SATA drive dongle or external hard disk enclosure (sold separately) and clone the device BEFORE you swap.
Can vouch for crucial. 2 of my ssd's are from them. 750gb mx300 and 128gb m4.

Nice. Where, and how much did you get it for?

Parang pahirapan maghanap ng higher end models dito sa pinas.

I got mine at Dell SM Megamall sir.

    Paid 74k for an i7 7700HQ, 16GB RAM, GTX1050Ti, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD and 1080p IPS panel.

It should be cheaper now since the newer models have arrived.

Should be compatible pero if you want to use your old hard disk as an external drive next time, mas okay yung enclosure talaga. This one is actually the same as the one I linked pero without the physical enclosure.

Finally went to cyberzone a while ago. I think i found a good deal with this model:

    Acer Nitro 5 AMD FX9830P
    4gb ddr4 ram
    128gb ssd + 1tb hdd
    Radeon Rx550 gpu

Its 45k everywhere but silicon valley is offering it at 40k only. Was supposed to get it already but its sold out in all their branches so Im on the waiting list. Good buy na to at 40k right? The i5 counterpart without the ssd but with the 1050ti gpu is priced at 50k

Do you need the GPU though?

An i3-powered laptop with an IGP and 4GB RAM will cost around 25k only. Upgrading to an SSD is just 5k.

The latest Intel IGPs are good enough to play simple games like Sims or WoW.

How much is the budget ba? For the 40k fx9830 with rx550 vs the 50k specs of i5 and 1050ti, i'll probably get the 50k one.

SSD and 8gb or more ram is really a must. You may want to scope out some i7 laptops (not the u series) without the dedicated gpu.

I have a few light games (Sims, Overwatch, Dota) i plan on reinstalling when i get the laptop. No AAA titles naman. Not a necessity as i said in an earlier post but would be nice to have a dedicated gpu. Popular suggestion kasi here and from my friends as well is get an i5 if budget permits. I still have time to research though and will look at i3 models as well. Thanks for the input jut!

*chronicle 45k is my ideal ceiling because i still plan on adding ram in the future. Puro 4gb lang offered dito at my price range e.

The main difference between an i3 and i5 processor is that the i3 does not have Turbo Boost (temporary increase in CPU speed if thermal limits allow it).

So your i3 rated at 2.1 GHz is really just 2.1 GHz. An i5 rated at 2.1 GHz might have a Turbo Boost frequency of 2.5 GHz.

However, the reality is that even an i3 is powerful enough for almost all programs including games. RAM, GPU, and SSD are usually bigger bottlenecks than CPU performance.

If the difference between an i3 and i5 is minimal (say around 3k), then the i5 is the better choice. Otherwise, save the money and stick to an i3 and perhaps upgrade to an SSD and add more RAM.

Check out pcx's pricelist on the laptops.

I can see an msi i7 6700hq with gtx940 for 39k. Yes, previous gen nga lang.
