Sir bench, install niyo po yung microsoft security update for the W32.Blaster worm, it may help because it seals up unused ports.
On the Power Supply Unit..... upgrading depends on your setup sir.
I couple of days ago, i thought my 300W psu was enough, until My system did not boot yesterday morning. I pulled out all power connectors except the one on my HDD, ayun, nag -boot.
Power hungry mga AXP and P4 processors. Just to play it safe, i suggest mag upgrade na kayo to a 350W unit. P750 lang sa PCX, twin fan pa! :D Having low voltage is very bad for any PC system. Unang masisira yung CD rom drives, followed by your mouse, and god knows what's next.
In hindsight, baka wala talagang prublema yung ex motherboard ko, baka psu upgrade lang kailangan.... sayang.... i really like the SATA connectors.. para next HDD ko SATA na.Last edited by pajerokid; September 14th, 2003 at 01:48 PM.

keep in mind that not all 300W or 350W or 400W PSUs are built equal... pay careful attention to the output of the PSU on the 12V rail, which (if im not mistaken) is used by the CPU. the 5V rail is used by peripheral devices like HDDs and optical drives (again, if im not mistaken).
i think the best PSUs output around 30A on the 12V. the 12V is what separates bad PSUs from good ones. almost all PSUs have no problems with providing enough juice on the 5V.
anandtech and tomshardware have very useful information about power supplies.

Or, you could go by reputation :D Enermax is universally accepted as the best PSU.
I got an HEC unit. Too many cables! The ATX cable is nicely insulated.

pk,
nde rin e... best thing to do is to check the outputs of the PSU before buying... naka print naman yun sa PSU itself or sa box or sa manual

help po .
malakas ba sa kuryente pag naka screen saver?
kasi what i do, i turn my monitor off kapag kakain or banyo just to save a little bit of energy..pag alam kong mawawala ako at least ng 30 mins..pinapatay ko ung monitor...
the problem is..when i turn the monitor on (sa switch niya), wala nang lalabas sa screen. kahit galawin ko na ung mouse....mag type sa keyboard...press the power of cpu for a while...AYAW PARIN!
pero dati naman...pwede un ginagawa ko....
what seems to be the problem?
thanks!
