Windows XP
Professional
Version 2002
Service Pack 1
Intel PII
448MHz
256MB
:hihihi:
anyone played/seen the G5? A whopping 40lbs, Ti Chassislooks easier to work with. The internal is laid out very well. 8 slots with a max mem of 8GB
This has gotta be the biggest heat-sink I have ever seen
and VGA is now extinct with G5s.

could you elaborate a little further kimpoy....
describe the system configuration...
the more descriptive the description of the problem... the better it is for diagnosing the solution...
based on what your saying... if your getting a cannot display page error... there are a few possible reasons...
1) is your LAN card properly configured with all the proper protocols and has an appropriate driver installed? (if your connected to a network)
2) is your modem properly installed and is detected by the OS?
(if your using dial up)
3) what OS are you using for the P2? I suggest using win95 or 98. anything higher than that can greatly decrease performance.
4) how much ram do you have?
5) how much hard disk space and swap space?
6) are you able to ping a website?
7) is your phone cable / network cable properly inserted? did you test if they function on another computer?
8) do you have the proper proxy settings ? (if required)... or disabled... ( if not required)
hmm... that's what i can think of so far...
a P2 is really slow... can't really expect it to do much...
if you stuck Linux on it... maybe you'd get better performance

mbt, im not really sure what i installed. The file was 133MB large. I was having trouble installing SP1a, I was getting a message saying that i have a friggin checked/debug system (used by hardware developers to test drivers for their hardware). A student of mine gave me a WinXP SP1 cd (not 1a). I tried it and it worked. The main reason i wanted this was to have USB2.0 support.
No horror stories from this camp. Yung officemates ko kasi naghahang daw pc nila after installing SP1. Oh, and dont worry about the activation thing... i have cracks aplenty! YEAH GATES!!! YOU HEARD ME!!!! hehehehehe :evillaugh
you want? Burn kita ng CD.Last edited by pajerokid; September 27th, 2003 at 03:23 PM.

Karding:: thanks pare! solb na prob ko hehe :D
cardo:: I found The initial realeases of AMD new 64bit platforms rather disappointing. The Opteron 144 is a bit slower than my current setup. But of course, things will take off from there. Oh, and did i mention theyre pretty expensive? Wala pang out na Athlon64.
The AXP line is nearing its technological end coz AMD cant cram more transistors into Athlons anymore. But processing power has never been this cheap!
shock:: nice tip!!! Are you in IT? :D
Kimps, palagay ko settings lang yan. Try downloading a newer version of IE. :DLast edited by pajerokid; September 27th, 2003 at 03:32 PM.
