Turning the monitor off while not on the computer is a good practice. Tipid sa kuryente and less wear & tear sa monitor, whether CRT or LCD :D

    pajerokid,
ayus nga sa setup!! pano mo na overclock? yung nabasa ko kasi eh kailangan pa i-short yung L1 & L2 sa processor, basta parang ganun.. im using xp2000, ok din naman siya. here's my specs:

    processor: amd xp2000+
    mobo: ecs l7s7a2(i think)
    ram: 256ddr
video: 32mb elsa mx200 (no plans of ugrading kasi 6000 bili ko dun 3yrs ago!!)

temp ko is 39c on idle tapos max ko mga around 45c, im only using oem hsf. i have 2 fans installed in & out and my psu has 2 fans also. tip sa mga pc users, aside from the voltage of your psu, mas maganda kung dual fan yung psu niyo para bawas init sa loob...

Recently, i was having problems with Raven Shield locking up. Pero i found out, yung video card ko pala hindi kumaya, so i reset it to default speeds. Pag naka off yung aircon ko sa room, the temp goes up mga 2-3degrees.

elo, its me again! im just curious my mboard says the harddisk is running in ata33 access mode, but i've read in my mboard's manual that it supports ata66 and 100.

do i have to buy some kind of IDE cable to enable this feature?
btw my HDD is a 40 gb seagate barracuda.

    pajerokid,

ok pala yang barton, pwede mo na i-overclock sa cmos. how much bili mo sa cpu?

    benchph1,

baka you still have the old IDE cable. try to buy a new one that supports ata66-100.

benchph1, For you to achieve ATA100, your HDD must be able to support it and like, alnr said, you should be using an ATA100 cable. Chances are, your 'cuda is already ATA100. Current standard now is ATA133.

A new standard is SATA. Astig to! Ang nipis ng cable! 6 strands lang yata, the bandwith is comparable daw to SCSI! Pero mahal pa yung drives. a 40GB SATA HDD will set you back around 7000+ sa PCX.

alnr, Php5400 ata. Sabi dun sa foreign computer forums, this is the only barton worth buying. :D Overpriced kasi yung 3000+ and 3200+.

My shop's 40 gig HDDs were performing transfer rates in Norton's Ghost at 1Gig/min... grabe! before I would be happy to be getting 300Meg/min with my older 20gig HDDs.
