9,700 pala yung 7NNXP? uh, okay... never mind hehe
hmm looks like i'll be going the Audigy 2 route, from the looks of discussion about Soundstorm, nForce 2 audio is plagued with driver problems and poor EAX2 implementation. my Cambridge Soundworks FPS2000 speakers won't work with the Soundstorm's digital output as well, and users are almost unanimous in blasting the analog output quality of nForce2 MCP-T mobos... what a choice, buy a whole new set of speakers with SPDIF input, or get an Audigy or Audigy 2 hehehe
siguro Epox 8RDA3+ nalang kunin ko since I won't be using the Soundstorm, hmmm...

yup kakalasin mo sia isa isa....CPU Fan, Clip tsaka Heatsink.
yung compressed air na yun, aerosol cans yun. hangin nga lang laman. me nabibili nun sa mga hardware shops
ey mbt! I just finished auditioning my MCP-T soundstorm thingie. I aint impressed!!! SB Live! still does it for my ears. Ang layo ng sound, not to mention, its more modifiable.
I based the gigabyte's price on it's USD price of $170. Anyway, the only gripe i have against the 8rda3+ is the bootup time. the sata raid controller takes some seconds to get itself together (about 5-8 to be exact)
analog output ba ginamit mo? what your speaker set right now?
i wanna upgrade my sound card kasi, my brother needs a new sound card because he's still using an Aureal Vortex 2, which is no longer supported by anyone...
(whispers) Altec Lansing ACS45.1 pa rin hihihi. (chagrin)
Yung surround speakers ko Altec ACS91.
Old but still does the job!
Im not sure kung magkano GA7N400Pro. Pero from what i read HAYUF tala yung MOBO! Not sure lang kung magkano locally, but for sure its in that price range.
I say, stick with the MSI. Mukhang oks naman.
IMO, dont go overboard with your mobo. remember, Athlon64 is just around the corner...
krscla, Photoshop 6 is okay. I use Photoshop7. Im not really a graphics guy, i just use it to relax hehe :D Functionally, walang difference ang photoshop since 1 first used it until now. Visually, Photoshop7 presents you with a lot less cluttered environment.
Office 2003, i think is already available at your nearest pirated CDROM Shop. Not sure with PS-CS.
mbt, one last thing.... you will need a new PSU. I just discovered that HEC is a good good brand. In fact, its in PinoyPC's Uber-Machine specs. (Exactly like mine...475W)
Thanks.
Is there a way to check kung PSU nga ang problema? Yung sa RAM naman, hehe, wala akong mahiraman na kakilala kaya itatanong ko rin sana kung may software bang pwedeng gamitin para icheck kung may sira nga siya? Thanks.
yup, ive got an Enermax 430W... (which replaced a server-class Sparkle 400W that cost me P5000 back in 99 hehehe :D)
im seriously thinking about toning down the gaming specs a bit to make room for a thundering set of Creative Megaworks 550THX 5.1 speakers that would last me a lifetime... hehehehe.
i'm thinking of going down to a T-Bred 2200+, a basic nF2 u400 mobo, 1x 256 MB DDR RAM, and a GF4 MX440 for the meantime (incremental upgrade nalang to a Barton, 2x 256 MB RAM, and a better vid card in about six to eight months when Doom3 and Half Life 2 are released)
i figured i don't really have much time to play games when there's school anyways... hehe.
would anyone be interested in my Cambridge Soundworks FPS2000 4.1 speakers? :D
First, the Barton is fast, not to mention very overclockable. it can run smoothly at 3200+ levels. its a little bit more expensive than the 2200 youre planning to buy, but you can definitely squeeze the processing time from this one. And if youre not into overclocking, its prolly time you get into it!
The famous 8rda+ rev2.0 is kinda like a barebones unit. no fuss, a few extras, but is a solid and stable performer. forget the comparison between this and the MSI, as the epox being less stable. Thats crap! Take it from me, never pa ako nag hang with mine! Its rock stable! My FSB is 400Mhz, not bad for a board whose processor only supports 366MHz.
A stick of DDR400 memory is a must! Get a second stick on christmas to activate the Dual memory controllers of your nF2u! Good for about 5% increase in speed. Not much, but better than nothing at all.
And finally, the 96P. Yes, i had one. And it was blazing fast. This should keep in step with all the current games, (this card wont even break a sweat with warcraft3, and is very more than adequate for the Generals Expansion, with all the bells and whistles turned on). If you wanna save a couple of thousand bucks, go for the non-pro, but then again, kaunti lang and pro na.Unlike my 9800 and 9800P dillema, 6000+ ang price difference.
It's DX9 compliance will keep you happy even when HL2 arrives. This card has serious horsepower!
