Have hard time choosing bet. Epox 8rda+ vs Epox 8rga+ ang tanong ko maganda ba ang video card ng 8rga+? or better buy 8rda and separate video card? What video card can u recommend? 4k lang ang budget ko kasi. Lastly what's the diff bet 8rda2+ and 8rda3+?
frankD, pwede naman pala i-run yung winxp setup from within Xp. Naka SP1 na ako :D gago kasi yung isang estudyante ko eh, sabi kailangan fresh install.
mdpo, 8RGA+ may built in GeForce4MX440. Pero if youre after performance, im sure everyone would agree that mas maganda standalone AGP card.
Im not aware of an 8RDA2+. Alam ko lang 8RDA+ and 8RDA3+.
If youre getting an 8RDA+ make sure youre getting REVISON2.0!!! baka ito yung sinasabi mo na 8RDA2+? :D
Better yet, get an 8RDA3+ mas maganda coz it supports DUAL LAN Addresses, and even more importantly, SATA. SATA HDDs almost equal SCSIs in terms of performance. And from what ive read, it will even improve as time progresses. (Increase in memory bandwidth, as tehcnology comes along, with HDD capacity into the TeraBytes (1000 Gigs)).
Epox boards are good! Maganda yung health monitoring niya and you can update the bios in windows!

Ganun ba.. most probably I will go for 8rga+ ok na naman siguro yung graphics nito since di naman instense gaming ang lalaruin. 1st yr h.s. lang gagamit eh.. also what cpu fan can u recommend coz I plan on upgrading the cpu fan also.
maganda rin ba sounds ng 8rga+? coz i heard maganda yung sa 8rda+
cpu fan lang? kung hindi ka rin naman hardcore overclocker, stock would do. The best is fan is an 80mm Alpha Tri blade, runsa at 5000rpm. Kaya lang its notorious for noise. I use a Globalwin CAK4-88 copper HSF combo. oks siya. keeps my cpu temps down to the mid 40's.
I dont use onboard audio eh :D Sayang naman yung Live! DE ko. But i heard maganda nga raw yung sa 8RDA+, soundstorm ata yun e.
Ganun ba... so i guess normal na pala ang mid 40's wala na pala ibababa ito... I plan to upgrade the fan so that maski matagal na nagamit alikabok.. or ginagamit sa mainit na lugar kakayanin.
If you want to lower your temps a couple of degrees, you can try using Arctic Silver 3 thermal compound. Your temp will drop around 2-4 degrees.
Yung gamit ko ngayon na HeatSink/Fan mahusay. Kaso nga medyo pricey. Php1,200. That's why my AthlonXP 2500+ is able to run at 3200+ levels in complete stability. :D
search mo sa net yung CAK4-88. :D Kaya lang mahirap i-DIY install yan, i cracked my processor's core while installing it.
Windows XP
Professional
Version 2002
Service Pack 1
Intel PII
448MHz
256MB
:hihihi:
anyone played/seen the G5? A whopping 40lbs, Ti Chassis looks easier to work with. The internal is laid out very well. 8 slots with a max mem of 8GB This has gotta be the biggest heat-sink I have ever seen and VGA is now extinct with G5s.
mbt, im not really sure what i installed. The file was 133MB large. I was having trouble installing SP1a, I was getting a message saying that i have a friggin checked/debug system (used by hardware developers to test drivers for their hardware). A student of mine gave me a WinXP SP1 cd (not 1a). I tried it and it worked. The main reason i wanted this was to have USB2.0 support.
No horror stories from this camp. Yung officemates ko kasi naghahang daw pc nila after installing SP1. Oh, and dont worry about the activation thing... i have cracks aplenty! YEAH GATES!!! YOU HEARD ME!!!! hehehehehe :evillaugh
you want? Burn kita ng CD.

cardo:: I found The initial realeases of AMD new 64bit platforms rather disappointing. The Opteron 144 is a bit slower than my current setup. But of course, things will take off from there. Oh, and did i mention theyre pretty expensive? Wala pang out na Athlon64.
The AXP line is nearing its technological end coz AMD cant cram more transistors into Athlons anymore. But processing power has never been this cheap!
shock:: nice tip!!! Are you in IT? :D
Kimps, palagay ko settings lang yan. Try downloading a newer version of IE. :D
