i just finished checking up on it and found that Pentium-M has twice the L2(1 mb) than pentium 4-M(512kb). so yeah, it is a new processor...hehe, kaya pala medyo confusing me pentium-M tapos me pentium 4-M.
pero yung centrino is the over-all "term", errr, right?
maybe this could help clear things out:

:hi:
:thanx:

IF you dont trust the software you have, try checking the temp sa BIOS. Usually meron rin dito utility to check CPU temp., voltage etc.

krscla,
you'll have to upgrade your cooling systems. get a large, high-quality CPU heat sink/fan (a high-end GlobalWin, for instance). mura lang to, about 1000+ at most.
next, improve the air circulation in your case (especially if its closed) by adding an intake fan at the bottom front, an exhaust fan below the power supply if the case can accomodate it. also, organize the cables and wires in the case (tie them together) so they don't block the airflow. finally, you may want to upgrade to a high-quality power supply with two fans (a good idea anyway, whether you're having heat problems or not)

Guys, i dont want to play the devil's advocate ha, but isnt it that the temperature in the bios is the startup temp?
Besides, i think those maintenance programs reference the bios when getting temp.

you could use your comp then restart n enter the BIOS to see the real temp.

1. Harmann/Kardon Soundsticks - sa apple showroom 13t, ikot pa sa carpark at nakuha ko sa 8,700 though next day ko pa nakuha. Then sa Manilla Bulletin technews section, 9,700 daw retail. USB ang interface nito.
2. Compaq FP5315 15" lcd - 17,000. 3 days na akong pabalik balik sa villman about mag lcd. Eto ang napagbalingan ko.
3. From the same store sa #1, bought 128Mb Excalibur radeon 9200 for 3,800.
