i tried the garden variety solar lights for the lawn before. may mga tumagal at meron hindi... mas lalo na kapag napag-tripan ng mga aso namin
i use low-wattage LED bulbs. they are on, all night, via manual switch.
i feel it is a good-enough deterrent and bright enough for humen (us!) as we walk by.
and my meralco bill is decent, naman.

I want to buy this. My problem is I don't know where to install because if I install sa wall ng house hindi tatamaan ng sun masyado dahil sa bubong at mga halaman.

I saw others they planted a 4 meter steel pole. How will that be held in place kaya. I'm not sure if our all around can do it e may pagka siraniko yun lol. Not sure if I need an electrician or welder for this

    with a little abilidad,
the installer can detach the solar panel from the rest of the assembly,
and install it at a more exposed location, i.e., beside your alulod.

we too use those low watt led bulbs and they work fine but i don't feel like connecting, installing switches, and laying out wires pa for this little project. i think this is the simplest way to do it doc. besides, anjan na ang tech, so why not utilize it na lang din for a relatively small and affordable sum.

    i was lucky.
the house was equipped with the fixtures, when it was originally built.
all i had to do, was to replace the traditional power-hungry bulbs with LEDs.

but i want those solar LEDs by our gate.
we used to rely on street lighting, but the tree in the area had gotten canopy-happy. the streetlight is seen only from afar now.
i wonder, can i ask meralco to drop by and trim the tree whose canopy now covers the road, for free?

i have had for some time, a couple of divisoria-sourced solar LED assemblies, but the solar cells are incorporated into the housing and can not be removed...
    hindi puedeng ilagay sa ma-lilim.

    A few Q's:

    1. Which mode do you leave it on?
    2. Which direction is it facing (ie. East, West, etc.)?
    3. Is it serviceable, like, can the 18650 battery be replaced?

Meron naman separate yung ilaw sa panel na pwede ikabit sa wall then ilagay ang panel sa area na maaraw. Sulit yang mga ilaw na yan. Meron kami pareho nung wall and pole mounted. Automatic umiilaw pag madilim na then auto off, may remote din. screenshot_2021-02-06-09-12-14-93_39060a31215a48c7aaf1fb3368fa2e89.jpg

Thank you. Now I'm convinced. Bilhin ko na! Bakit kaya sa shopee ang mumura pero etong sa Lazada mukhang heavy duty. Isa muna bilhin ko, pag okay saka ko dagdagan.

Has motion and light detection ... turns on only at night ... there's low light mode that brightens up when there's motion ... then there's always on mode ... and another mode that lights up only with motion ... there are more expensive types but so far this one's working ok for 25% of the price ...

Actually iyong sister ko meron solar powered lights tulad ng mga ito dati. Siguro they bought it mga 3-4 years ago - parang iyong unang mga dating dito. Walang motion detector feature iyon kaya hindi ko trip. And since dated na iyong tech niya, mga 3am medyo halata na mahina ang buga. Iyon pa naman ang "witching hour" ng mga masasamang loob.

Hopefully, the new gen releases have more juice especially those equipped w/ the motion detecting options.
