It's actually better if it's installed lower as long as it gets enough sunlight ... when it's lower to the ground, it will be easier to wipe it clean to get maximum efficiency ...

I'm so happy. I had it installed na but the 100w ulife ang hina, hope it's only because it wasn't charged. The 25W bosca malakas. I'll buy Bosca na, tama reviews na mas malakas ilaw than other brands

You get what you pay for with solar lights ... cheaper ones will need about 8-12 hours of direct sunlight ...

Meron naman separate yung ilaw sa panel na pwede ikabit sa wall then ilagay ang panel sa area na maaraw. Sulit yang mga ilaw na yan. Meron kami pareho nung wall and pole mounted. Automatic umiilaw pag madilim na then auto off, may remote din.

I should have bought Bosca all the way. I am shocked that the 40w BOSCA is stronger than the 100w UPIN. I thought these are all the same products na tinatakan lang. BOSCA is more expensive but quality is way better, I am so addicted to solar lights. Yung all around naman namin advocates solar lights din because that's what he uses too

Yup, napansin ko iba ang liwanag ng 6 watt bulb ko na 2nd gen, if di nga lang pangit sa bahay, mas matipid if you use the traditional bulb on bokilya, kesa ung mga encased in diffusers

i am not sure.

our banyo's LED is still alive, even as our bathroom switch is among the most-clicked switches in the house, albeit they don't stay on for so long.
our garage LED bulb however, is switched on and off only once a day. but the bulb stays on throughout the night.

i have since replaced the busted garage LED twice. i have yet to replace the bathroom LED, in that same time interval.

in stark contrast, is the car's aftermarket domelight LED panel. it started going dark, a few weeks after installation... one LED after the other... of the original 24 (or is that 18?), half have gone dark.

perhaps there are other factors in play, that i am not aware of...

if i have to make a guess,
it think it may have something to do with the quality-ness of the built-in power regulator.

outside. wala kasing streetlight sa street namin. then set ko lang na mag full brightness when someone is within the range of it's sensor. umaabot naman yan until before 6AM.

Looks like it has LiFePo batteries although I'm not sure if the battery now is the same battery as the one I got 2 years ago.

To answer your Q, I got 25 W. I know I put it at low setting via the remote but I never really paid attention if it remembers the brightness setting every time it turns on.

As for the runtime...

If daytime weather is perfectly sunny, the light lasts until around 4 AM (although it is really dim by then).
If overcast, it starts getting dim around midnight.
On rainy days, it starts getting dim as early as 9 PM.

There's no info on battery life or replacement in the manual but I've had it for 2 years now and I haven't noticed any significant degradation. No problems with the panel, the panel's power cable, or the lamp's metal casing despite exposure to the elements.

From my research of solar floodlights, JD Light (China) and Flaretech (local) are the better brands. Lifepo4 batteries na gamit nila

Getting this thread up again. Pikon na ako sa waterproof outdoor lamps namin, hindi nagtatagal ang bulb pundi na agad, 1 bulb is 400 pa naman, ung parang starter ang pangkabit. So I'm thinking of replacing all three with waterproof but those with ordinary LED bulb na de roscas na lang. Or I can buy solar na lang, parang parehong nasa 600-800 kesos range lang sila.

Buhayin ko itong thread. I just had 8kw system grid tie installed last week sa bahay.

I'm expecting na mabawasan bill ko sa second cycle ng billing for the day consumption then on process na din net metering, just waiting for the CFEI sa cityhall na lumabas.

Why 8kw system lang? Yun na lang ang pwede according to Meralco. I was originally planning to install 12kw but since gusto ko mag net metering eh hinde na pwede dahil hinde na kaya sa capacity ng transformer ni meralco dahil meron na din 3 kapitbahay na naka net metering.

Why didn't I went for hybrid with battery, talked with the installer about this and since hinde naman madalas mag blackout so hinde din talaga need plus siyempre mas mataas capital outlay. I'm trying to shorten the ROI as short as possible para pag mabawi ko in 2-2.5y or kahit minimal na lang baka meron ng new tech so pwede na ako mag upgrade agad.

Meron din pala self consumption ang inverter na 20-30W from grid.
