Lithuania defended the ban saying it is simply a step taken to comply with the EU sanctions which have been implemented on Russia since their invasion of Ukraine in late February.

“The transit of passengers and non-sanctioned goods to and from the Kaliningrad region through Lithuania continues uninterrupted,” the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. “Lithuania has not imposed any unilateral, individual, or additional restrictions on the transit. Lithuania consistently implements EU sanctions, which have different transition periods and dates of entry into force.”

Why is Lithuania risking Russia’s wrath over Kaliningrad?

Why escalate things when you can walk the path to peace? NATO has no plans to make peace. Pushing Finland/Sweden to join them and Lithuania sealing off entry to Kaliningrad just makes it clear that they wanted to escalate things in some way.

Do that to the USA and you will find yourself the target of the full might of their armed forces. Panama wouldn’t even dare doing something to anger the Americans and their use of the Panama Canal.

It’s like your two neighbors are quarreling. Since you don’t like the other neighbor, you take it upon yourself to punish the other when you have no business whatsoever in their conflict.

Escalating further is not going to help the whole of Europe in the long run.

From the point of view of US and NATO, arming Ukraine is much easier than making peace. They wouldn’t give Russia that luxury of peace.

Besides there is more money into it. Peace wouldn’t fatten the pockets of the government that gets lots of money from weapons manufacturers.

for me dehado ang russia

kalaban ng russia pinagsama US, UK, EU etc

They want oil and sea lanes for themselves.

Obvious naman eh. Maglolokohan pa ba tayo dito.

Hindi important stance ng Pinas sa WPS? Ano ba epekto sa ekonomiya natin at ng ibang SEA nations kung kunin lahat ang WPS ng China? Balewala pa din? Patawa naman.

Twist pa more. China is using the US bullying as narrativr as well for its expansion. Same banana, different methods. Pinagkaiba lang yung isa hindi na nang-aagaw ng teritoryo.
