So again, reframing the question - noone should call out when Russia or whoever new superpower commits atrocities, since everyone calling out has had some sin in the past?

If I follow your logic, then the US shouldn’t have stopped Hitler since even then the Americans were already murderers of the natives and the Brits shouldn’t have intervened since they were imperialists themselves.

We should’ve just let Hitler murder all the jews since noone has the moral ascendancy to call him out since all other powerful nations had skeletons in their closet too.

Again, I maintain my position that two wrongs don’t make a right. In this case - call out Russia for invading Ukraine, but also call out the US for the shady crap they pulled in the Middle East.

the americans/british/europeans have no moral authority to condemn the invasion of a sovereign country when they themselves invaded sovereign countries relatively recently (2001 afghanistan, 2003 Iraq, 78-day NATO bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999 etc)

so if "India invades Bangladesh, if Russia invades Ukraine, if China wipes out the Uyghurs" the West has no right to scold the aggressors

coz it screams hypocrisy / double standard
