    US: jump

    Japan: how high

NATO, led by the United States of America, is developing a plan to create and develop a Ukrainian-style crisis in the Indo-Pacific region
a repetition of the Ukrainian scenario is possible in the region, provided that there is a country in Asia that is ready to follow the orders of the United States, like Ukraine, playing the role of a puppet to maintain Washington’s hegemony and contain China
Japan is currently the most suitable for this role
All this will be fully used by Washington, and Japan can become an “Asian Ukraine” if it continues to follow the US strategy of closely containing China

They have been in that business long before. There are always groups who take it as their responsibility to do the dirty deeds that governments don’t always proud of.

Another suspected spy ballon was thwarted above Canada.

F-22 fighter jets have now downed three objects in the airspace above the U.S. and Canada over seven days, a stunning development in the skies that is raising questions on just when will China be held accountable and how ?

Bakit ayaw pa gamitin ni Putin yun nuclear weapon niya? I think he knows that US has a new advance, most powerful new weapon the world has never seen.

Meron ako napanood hinde ko lang maalala kung saan pero US daw is 25+ years in advance sa weaponry nila.

they will only use nukes when their existence is threatened

pero pag talong-talo na ang russia sa ukraine and ukraine/US/NATO brings the war to moscow...

of course russia knows if they use nukes they're gonna die

but if they're backed up against the wall and they know US/NATO will destroy them, might as well launch the nukes

kahit mamatay sila at least they get to inflict damage on the enemy

kung meron sanity left sa US/NATO they wouldn't let things reach that point

    so ano ba goal?

is it only to drive russia out of ukraine?

after driving russia out of ukraine does US/NATO stop at the border?

    i don't think so

i already said this -- they want to break up russia

may nagsabi pang tom clancy novel daw

    really?

Might as well capitalize.

w/ the costly inter-nation natural gas enterprise going belly-up and going down in flames (pun intended), putin had nothing to lose anymore by destroying the pipeline. w/ its closure, the russian authoritarian was counting on the subsequent meteoric rise of heating costs w/c would make western europeans suffer and freeze during the (recent) winter months. a punishment he hoped that would lead to a weakening of the nato resolve.

also, it's noteworthy that the nord stream gas pipeline was sabotaged in the territorial waters/ EEZs of sweden, Finland, denmark , and germany. the subsequent toxic leaks have damaged the respective ecosystems of the said nations...conveniently a hundred or so kilometers away from the russian shore of w/c the pipes originated from.

sabi nila it's perhaps an ingenious case of trying to hit his enemies where it mattered in one fell stroke w/o, more importantly, getting the blame.

ika nga ng mga political pundits it's a plausible scenario not to be discounted.

    ok

my thinking is russia could be thinking the war will end someday, sanctions will be lifted, germany can buy russian gas again

so they wouldn't destroy the pipelines

the pipelines were bombed in Sept last year (things haven't deteriorated yet to the point they are now) so medyo optimistic pa ung thinking

if we think about it now sobrang labo na babalik sa dati ang relationship ng russia and germany

sobrang labo na din sanctions will be lifted

the west will want to isolate russia for a generation or 2

that is if russia still exists in its current form after the war

    -

here's a NYT article from Dec last year

Investigating the Nord Stream Pipeline Sabotage - The New York Times

says the nord stream company was assessing the cost of repair

In recent weeks, Nord Stream AG, which is majority-owned by a Kremlin-controlled company, has begun pricing out the cost to repair the pipe and restore gas flow, according to a person briefed on the work who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak about it publicly. One repair estimate starts at about $500 million, the person said. Consultants for Russia are also studying how long the damaged pipes can withstand saltwater exposure. The inquiries raise the question of why, if Russia bombed its own pipelines, it would begin the expensive work of repairing them.

if russia destroyed the pipelines, why would they want to repair it

if putin was indeed the culprit, those "praise" releases could be:

    1. smoke and mirrors, or

    2. it's a classic situation wherein the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.

in any case, putin was a communications specialist in his time /w the kgb so he knows how to manipulate perceptions via propaganda and such. i mean he even had george w bush and donald trump dancing to his tune and were like putty in his oily hands. how much pa kaya certain sectors of your favorite western media, like the one you quoted from the ny times.

and yes, mukhang malabo na bumalik ang europe sa russian LNG supplier/s once the war is over. most likely euro countries who used to source their nat gas from russia would have moved on and would have invested heavily on renewable energy. plus, in all probability they're now in talks for multi-year contracts w/ other hydrocarbon producing nations while allocating millions of moolah for gas importation infrastructures.

i don't have favorite western media

NYT, wapo, cnn etc are all the same establishment media whose job is to broadcast the official narrative

i don't see why, sa lahat ng western media, the NYT would run a pro-russia story

not because bilib ako o favorite ko

notice i don't post stuff from pro-russian sources like russia today (RT) etc

coz i know it's immediately viewed as russia propaganda
